Rose facial cream.
Get the following:
4 ounces jojoba oil
3 ounces distilled water
1/2 ounce beeswax
1gram bottle(1/32 ounce,25 drops,1.2 milliliters) rose otto
Melt the wax in the jojoba oil using a double boiler. Add the distilled water in a thin stream while vigorously beating the mixture with a wire whisk. Remove from heat and continue whisking the oil while adding the essential oils drop by drop.
Variation: Use rose water or boil fresh rose petals and use the resulting rose tea, instead of the distilled water.
Making an essential oil, rose based personal essence is quite easy.
Rose otto used in perfumery adds richness, warmth and depth to just about any personal essence. Even in tiny amounts, or traces, rose otto will contribute a sweet, natural balance to floral or essential oils blends.
Hand-crafted blends of natural essential oils are a refreshing alternative to commercial perfumes and colognes which contain complex chemical components of synthesized, fragrance ingredients.
A basic perfume blend contains 95% pharmaceutical grade alcohol and 5% essential oil. A cologne or toilet water contains less alcohol and essential oil(s) and water: An alternative to ethyl alcohol is a high proof vodka such as 90-proof. Using vodka instead of pharmaceutical grade alcohol will produce a cologne blend that can be used as a perfume.
This is a simple recipe for a rose perfume. Some of the drops can be replaced with other essential oils to create a distinctive, unique, personal essence(s).
To make a mild rose perfume get the following:
3 ounces vodka
1gram bottle which is equal to (1/32 ounce,1.2 milliliters or about 25 drops) rose otto
small funnel fine filters (coffee, etc..)
empty, clean perfume or cologne bottle
Add the oil to the vodka. Shake gently and allow the mixture to age for 2 to 3 weeks. This aging allows the alcohol to extract the aromatic constituents of the oil that are only partially soluble in the alcohol. You may notice globules of the undissolved constituents floating around in the mixture, and this is normal. After 2 – to 3 weeks the mixture is aged, chill it briefly and filter it using the funnel and a filter. Let the mixture settle. If any additional globules form, chill and filter again. Repeat this process until all traces of undissolved oil are removed and your personal rose based essence is ready to use. If you like you can also use some drops of jasmine, or other essential oils that you like in combinations with the rose oil to create a unique individual perfume(s) for yourself or the people that you love.
