These are 16 Healing Herbs that were standards of Druidic Medicine. They are divided into 4 classes of 4 herbs each, plus one that remains outside the others:
Earth:
PHU (Valerian)- Sedative, craps, pain, coughs.
HODWORT (Skullcap)- Nervous conditions, fevers, refrigerant.
NERVE ROOT (Lady Slipper)- Nervine, indigestion, headache.
ABSINTHE (Wormwood)- Digestion, liver/gall bladder, worms, insect bites (externally), sprains, rheumatism, burses.
Water:
CATWROT (Catnip/Catmint)- Digestion/stomach ache or cramps, calmative, fevers, headaches, bronchitis and diarrhea.
BEERFLOW'R (Hops)- Sleep-aid, liver/digestive aid, gas/cramps; external antibiotic for boils, tumors, swellings and skin inflammations, refrigerant.
WITHE (Black Willow)- Pain, fevers, arthritis, kidney/bladder troubles, antiseptic, gargle, tonsillitis, refrigerant.
CONEFLOWER (Echinacea)- Antibiotic (immune stimulator), abscesses in teeth/body, lymph swelling, digestive aid.
Air:
GOLDEN PIPES (Chamomile)- Stomach aches/digestion/gas, calmative vs. insomnia in children, eyewash and open sores, kidneys.
HOLIGOLD (Calendula/Marigold)- Externally for sores, burns, bleeding hemorrhoids and wounds. In oil for ear aches; vaginal infections.
EERIE (Yarrow)- Internal bleeding (esp. lungs), gas, diarrhea, fevers from measles, colds and flu's; antiseptic.
BRITTANICA (Vervain)- Colds, flu, coughs, upper respiratory inflammations, stomatic, insomnia, pneumonia, asthma.
Fire:
GOLDENRUTHE (Goldenseal)- Antibiotic, for all internal/external health problems; eye-wash, female infections, sores, skin conditions, colds/viruses/infections.
AMBER (St. John's Wart)- Nerves, bed-wetting, liver tonic, insomnia; decocted on olive oil for 2 weeks: tumors, all skin conditions, wounds, ulcers, burns, enlarged glands, bruises and muscular pain.
SACRED BARK (Blackthrone)- Constipation/laxative, digestive stimulant, gas, liver, gall bladder/stones.
QUERCUS (White Oak)- Internal bleeding, vaginal infections, supreme antiseptic for wounds/skin conditions, insect bites, hemorrhoids, swollen glands, tumors, poison oak/ivy, lymphatic swelling, varicose veins, mouthwash/gum problems; strengthener.
Additional:
UCHELWYDD (Mistletoe)- "All-heal;" added, in small amounts, to all remedied and Magical Formulae-- Vertigo, dizziness, headaches, heart problems/palpitations, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, nervine.
Transport in a dry-powder form, and steep in hot water (or tincture in a water-alcohol base by fermenting w/ grain) when needed.
