This is the "Festival of the Vine," or the pagan Thanksgiving Day.

Date: ca. September 21, Autumnal Equinox.

Modern Equivalent: Thanksgiving.

Alignment: Solar, Female/passive; water.

Customs: Harvest Feast (usually held eve of full moon closest to Equinox), picking ripe produce (often turnips, or pumpkins/squash for Samhain), late corn harvest and stalk bundling, fishing, grape harvesting/new wine-pressing/making.

Symbols: Grape cluster/vine, corn bundles, a fish, cornucopia, gourds.

Sacred Foods: red wines, wild game (venison, bear, fish, pheasant, quail, etc.), squash, melons and all other vine-foods, fresh vegetable-breads and cakes, stews (old name: Pottage).

Threshold Time: Dusk.

Incense: Mugwort, myrrh, sage, Balm of Giliad, Iris.

Celtic God forms: Mabon (Harvest Lord), Bran and Branwen.
