This is the "Bird Festival" of spring. Traditionally, people went bird-watching from dawn to mid-morning to watch for returning birds/flocks, and would feast and celebrate afterwards is successful. The association of eggs and chicks with this time is a remnant of the Druidic bird association.

Modern Equivalent: Easter (Gaelic festival of the goddess Ishtar).

Alignment: Male Solar and Female forces equal.

Customs: Painting/collecting bird's eggs, bird-watching, egg hunts.

Symbols: Rabbit/Easter Bunny, chicks, swallows, coloured eggs.

Sacred Foods: Light foods, fish, maple sugar candies, sweet breads, eggs.

Incense: Lavender, narcissus and broom.
