The box is made of a light wood (usually pine), suspended by a leather strap for easy carrying on the back. The box measures 4 hands by 5 hands, by 1 hand depth. The top is joined to the body, but no nails or hinges, or even a clasp, should be used in building the box.
Contents:
1. Druidic symbols/shapes painted in a deep blue.
2. A square of Woad-Blue silk, embroidered with 3 concentric circles.
3. A long, thin rod carved from a white wood (oak) in the shape of 2 serpents intertwined, bearing upon their heads 3 black feathers. This is the first principle of foundation: "Realm of Wind." It is the sacred symbol, of active intelligence, and the twin serpents of good and evil uphold the 3 magical feathers of Math, the god who initiated minds into the mystic worlds beyond. The "Realm of Winds" governs this, and the Rod governs the Winds.
4. A chalice 1 hand in height. The bowl is made of a large oyster shall, and the base is supported by a network of finely worked strips of silver. This is a symbol of the most regal "Realm of Sea," and embodies the dark, passive forces of the sea, holding the emotions of, mankind, ruled by the pearl-moon's pale mysteries. The "Realm of Sea" governs these things, and the Chalice govern the Seas.
4. A Sickle of Gold, with a small red gem in the tip that allows light to pass completely through (gem not necessary). This represents the Most Holy Realm of Fire, and controls the active forces of flame, which generates the creative inspiration and will of all mankind. It's forged from gold, the sun-metal capable of transmuting our souls from one state to another. The Red Ruby of Mars is quarried from the Dragon-Peaks of Wales.
5. The Holy Stone comes from the most ancient "Realm of Stone," and is a simple blue disc the size of a large coin, suspended from a leather cord like a necklace. On one side is etched a triple design, on the other writing. It embodies the "Forces of Stone," representing the dust we come from and return to. It is also the Pentacle of the Earth Mother, and a symbol of rest and static forces which harness man's movement. It unifies the 2 principles of existence: Eternal beginning, and eternal end. The inscription reads, "A Elfyntodd Dwyr Sinddyn Dnw Cerrig Yr Fferllurig Nwyn, Os Syriaeth Ech Saffaer Tu Fewr Echlyn Mor Mecrombor Llun." (This is one the 3 ancient "Spells of Making.")
