*** Beltane Faery Bell Blessing ***
Preform on Beltane eve. ( April 30th thru May 1 or first full moon in Taurus.)
* Morris Bells *
Take a length of Red ribbon ( long enough for your ankle) and add three silver bells, tie to your ankle with a bow. These bells will protect you from any bad faeries and attract only helpful ones to your home. Sprinkle around your front door the first blooms of Primroses, scatter about while chanting:
"This May eve as I sprinkle, small foot prints in a twinkle.
Welcome to my happy home, faery folk, elf and gnome."
Build a small fire in your cauldron by your front door, using bits of parchment paper and dried twigs or dried herb stems as fire starter. add loose incense (sweet) and move clockwise holding cauldron, blessing your front door, again chant:
"This May eve as I sprinkle, small foot prints in a twinkle.
Welcome to my happy home, faery folk, elf and gnome."
Next take three small wine glasses or shot glasses and fill with Elderberry wine or a sweet milk and honey mixture. Place glasses to the side of your front door (out side) to form a triangle.
Place Enchanted sand or salt around glasses in a triangle, connecting all sides again chanting:
"This May eve as I sprinkle, small foot prints in a twinkle.
Welcome to my happy home, faery folk, elf and gnome."
* Leave the offering for the wee folk out over nite, discard in morning as the elements of the offering have been absourbed by the Fae.
