The last total solarECLIPSEof the 20th Century

The 11 AUG. 1999 total solar eclipse provided an unprecedented oppurtunity to observe  the  solar chromosphere and corona. The center line of the
eclipce passed only a few thousand meters center
of  the prime astronomical  real  estate  near  the
Chadegan of  Isphahan in Iran.
At the time of totality ( 16:30 LMT or 13:00 UT),
there  will not be  any cloud of  dust, especially  a
typical  high  Cirrus clouds  which can brightens
the sky during  totality  and add  to atmospheres
absorbtion is predicted.
So,  an opportortunity to observe an eclipse  with
an stablished observatory will not reccur for some
time  and why not? When circumstances combine
to produce a  lengthy  totality  during  a  typicaly
sunny season in that part of  Iran, eclipse chasers
know they've got it good.
