the raindrop

born to fall from heaven
made to splash to earth
a tiny ball of life
flying just to burst
when married to light creates beauty
a picture for each made new
in the small-sea droplet
lies a world seen by but few
the liquid wonder tumbles
from it's misted, airborne home
and brings to dark dry ground
a respite from the sun
