What Do I Care About?
What do I care about - well, you see, I only have a few Megs. of disk space
to go into that! I care about a lot of things.
I care about WASTE! I care about IGNORANCE! I care about ABORTION!
I care about WOMEN! And lots more things . . . . . . .
WASTE
I hate it that some people have fruit tree that drop their fruit on to the
ground to rot while other people are going without! I hate it that I can
walk past a landfill site and see that some people throw away furniture
which is many times better than others have in their homes! I hate it that
some children go off each day to school shivering with cold while others
have two, three or more coats in the closet which will never be worn again
! And lots more things . . . . . . .
IGNORANCE
Ignorance is NOT bliss! It can be hell! Ignorance of esoteric matters is of
little import but ignorance of every day things can be painful and
embarrassing. This is seldom the fault of the ignorant! To combat the
problem we must teach our children to be of an enquiring mind and we must
never, never laugh at a badly phrased question or a wrongly used word.
Such laughter causes an actual resistance to learning - after all, who
wants to be like the person who has just made us embarrassed?
ABORTION
This is a purely personal thing and we must each think it through for
ourselves. However, think on this. Have you ever held a new born baby?
Have you looked at its tiny hands with each finger perfectly formed?
Have you looked at its lips the first time it was old enough to smile?
Have you ever heard a childs first laugh? I don't have space to consider
the aspects of a child conceived out of rape and this and other aspects
are why I believe that the subject needs to be thought through rather than
discussed in emotional heat.
WOMEN
I know that it is often considered wrong in this day and age to hold a door
for or give up a seat to a woman. But, you see, I like to do these things!
I believe that women deserve all of the respect that can be given and it
pleases me to accord this to them. How often have you met a man who would
be willing to risk his looks and his health and even his life to start a
family? I have met many women that I don't like but very few that I could
not respect! And, that is simply because they are women. Every one of us
is born of woman - generally in blood sweat and tears - and this is
generally done willingly.
Please don't think that I only see women as baby producers - this is not so
. I respect women in every field. This can actually lead to problems. Very
many women have never received the respect which is due to them as people
and do not know how to react when this is given. This is a shameful
situation which probably should be placed firmly at the feet of the men
in their lives. Any man who needs to put a woman down to make himself feel
adequate is only fooling himself and no one else.
It is a natural fact that a man will generally be bigger and stronger than
a woman. So how can he justify violence against her? There is no way in
the world that he can! Absolutely no excuse exists for an abusive
relationship. NONE!
Have You Noticed . . . . . . .
If you have read this far you have probably noticed a certain thread which
runs through all of this - I CARE about women and children. That's what
this is all about.
