Stephen: I read in the blurb on Rocktropolis about your music being recorded by a symphony? Anything else on the horizon?
Stewart: Sting's superstar status began when he was one day old.
Stewart: Jammed with Jeff Beck last summer.
Stephen: I heard something about the Jeff Beck thing... Was anything ever recorded?
Stewart: No coherent result. But some great jams and some amazing stories. Anyone seen Spinal Tap?

Stewart: No, haven't played with Terry, but I'm sure we could swap Jeff Beck stories.
enchilada: do you feel the Police lived up to the group's fullest potential?
bab: Didn't you perform with some Blues Brothers concert a few months back? What was that all about?
Stephen: Anything more with Stanley Clarke? I was enjoying he... his and your playing with Animal Logic.
Stewart: Police was the perfect parabola for a group. Nobody died, nobody got arrested, we all got rich.
Stewart: Stanley Clarke is trying to beat me out of the film composing market.
Stewart: I taught him everything he knows.

Stephen: Yeah, I've been seeing quite a lot of his film stuff... but a lot of yours as well.

gator: I'm interested in producing myself and I wondered what goes through your head when you compose those soundtracks, etc... What room do you leave for improv, how do you come up with your unorthadox instrumentations?
Stewart: Rhythmatist. I'm most proud of Rhythmatist.

Stewart: Gator - Run the scene, tap your foot, feel the beats of the dialogue, and lay out a tune. It's like making model airplanes.
Stephen: Another thing I've been wondering... Was it your idea to take Rhythmatist on the road, or someone else's?
Stewart: Mahoy - correct.
Dad: When and with whom are you going out live next?

Stewart: Rhythmatist tour was someone else's idea. Not bad, it was a blast.

synthesizer: this question is a bit off the topic, perhaps, but I was interested in finding out how you got started in music arts management. when you were in college, how much did music did you study and what kinds? Did you play in any bands then before Curved Air?

Stewart: Music art management? I started as a roadie.
