I believe you have the wrong parents listed for Anna VanDerCook See. You see, the Henry and Anna (Francisco) VanDerCook that you give as her parents were my 4th great grandparents. I have done a great deal of research on this family because Henry is my DAR Revolutionary War soldier. (The VanDerCook brothers all served in the 14th regiment of Albany Co. Militia in the Revolution.) Henry and Anna did have a daughter, Anneke VanDerCook, born 11 December, 1777. However, I think the Anna you want was the one born to Henry's eldest brother, Michael VanDerCook, and his wife Maria Oller/Aller/VanOller. Their Anna was born in 1770, the second of their five known children. It is stongly suspected that they had other children that haven't been found yet. If,in your genealogical travels, you should happen to discover any additional children for Michael VanDerCook (born 4 September, 1744 to Michael VanDerCook and Cornelia VanNess) and Maria Oller, please contact
me.

Dear Melissa... If you would like information on Henry VanDerCook, please let me know. He is my DAR ancestor; I was the first of his many ancestors to file on his service in the 14th Regiment, Albany Co. Militia ("Col. Peter Yates' Regiment".) One of the reasons you do not have a surname for Henry's wife, Anna, is because she married 2. Jacob VAN NESS. She got a pension based on Henry's service anyway, but the pension file is catalogued at the National Archives under Anna VCAN NESS, not Anna VanDerCook. Anna was the daughter of Johannes (John) Francisco and Aeltje Doremus. My third great grandmother was Alida/Olive VanDerCook, daughter of Henry and Anna (Francisco) VanDerCook. Alida VanDerCook married Andrew Weatherwax. Their youngest son, Henry VanDerCook Weatherwax, came to Constantine Twp., St. Joseph Co., MI about 1842, settling on some land we suspect may have been deeded to him by his father in lieu of an inheritance.

I don't know how important he is in your scheme of things, but I have a lot of data on Henry and his family. If this is something you can use, let me know.
