Dear Melissa,

In a search for the LEAMING surname, I came across your web pages. I seeyou're stuck at Cornelius Leaming. I can help--a little. Leaming is one of my main surnames and can go back quite a few generations. Cornelius's line is a little problematic though, I only have his parents but don't have any more information to connect him to Christopher Leaming, who I'm sure he's a descendant of. So I'll offer what I have:

Fisher Leaming m. Amila Ludlam on February 24, 1827 in Cape May county, NJ. They had one son, Cornelius Leaming b. 1831 and d. 1897. He married Isabella Z. Taylor on January 20, 1852 at Cape May Court House, Cape May Co., NJ

Mayflower Descendants in Cape May County by Rev. Paul Sturtevant Howe, LL., B., Ph.D., Genealogical Publishing Co., Baltimore. 1977 pp. 185

Are any of these Leamings your direct ancestors? If so, we're probably cousins, and it might be worth pursuing to see who Fisher's parents are.
I'm sure the information is available-- somewhere--It just hasn't been a high priority for me up to now.

Regards,
Jim Fina
