Melissa,

So glad to see my Ingerson ancestors on the Internet.  Harry and Hannah Schofield Ingerson were my g-g-grandparents.  I have two letters in my possession given to me by my father; one written by Hannah to her father Demus Schofield in Saratoga Springs when she and Harry migrated to
Chautauqua Co. via the Erie Canal, down Lake Erie and coming in around Westfield.  They had all of their worldly goods with them and she had a young baby.  The other letter is from Demus to Hannah and Harry.

I have pictures of Harry in his older years; quite a stern looking man.

This was a great site to see.  I am working on my husband's lineage of the Ward family when they came to NW FL and were in the 1840 census for Walton Co., FL.  This was 5 years before FL was a state.

By the way, our Ingerson family was Ingersoll, but David Ingersoll after a dispute with his father, changed it to Ingerson and I believe David was the father of Harry.  I would have to check my records at home on that fact.

Thank you

Patricia
