Just saw your Jan. 30, request on the Ingersoll site regarding an Ingersoll Mailing List. If we aren't too late, we would like to say we are interested in one.
We are very impressed with all the work you have done on the Ingersolls. We do have some information we could send you on my husband's line. He is descended from John of Huntington, John, Daniel, Phillip,Daniel,John, Aaron, dau. May m. Frederick Ezra Hartley (his grandparents)
What is the best way to send it to you? E-mail or post office?
Do you have a copy of the story of the murder of Minnie Ingersoll from the book "The Other Side of the Hill" by Harold E. Sampson? If you don't and would like a copy, send your mailing address and I will send.
We live in Fort Myers, Fl, so could almost drop it off. We do visit Ken's parents in DeBary, not too far from you.

My husband Ken, is from Aaron, May Alene m. Frederick Ezra HARTLEY,
Estella A. m. Donald Everett BADGER, then Ken. We are wondering when you
were born. Since there are more generations between Aaron and you, than
between Aaron and Ken, we figure you must be
much younger than we are. Ken and I were born in 1945. ( I know in
most circles, asking your age would be rude. But not among genealogists!)
Do you have any additional Informaton on Electa Martin or Loranie Brown?
I have Lorene M. Brown (also Lorene Marion Meardene Brown - but have to dig to see where I got that....maybe your database?) Birth date 1848, died 1934 (Mom remembers there was no snow at her funeral, but doesn't remember what month) She is buried in Martinsburg Cemetery, Martinsburg, NY. Mom said her Grandmother "ran a tight ship. She remembers having boiled potatoes, milk gravy and salt pork when there one time for dinner. Her kitchen was full of canaries in cages. Every Sunday she popped corn. They would eat on it all week." Mom said she looked like an Indian squaw. Mom's sister, is 99 years old, she told me she thought Lorene's family came from the Netherlands. But she doesn't know why she thinks that. I show Lorene's father as Ira Brown and her mother, Frances or Fanney.
You might be interested in their memories of Aaron. When they knew him,
he had thick white hair, he was senile in his 80's. According to Mom and
Aunt Ethel, he could read the Bible but not read or write his name. After
he died some of the family farm was sold to NY State for Whetstone State
Park. (Tug Hill area)
I know very little about Electa Martin, only b. Sept 1799, d. Apr. 1888.
Haven't worked on this line.
