I am the daughter of Orin Edwin Whitman and Evely Jesmer Whitman. Orin Edwin Whitman passed away 2/20/97 in Tupper Lake, NY. Evelyn Whitman is alive and living in Saranac Lake, NY

Thanks for the e-mail with genealogy info. It was good to hear from you.
I can add children to Orin Madison Whitman and his wife Nancy Cady Whitman. Nancy's parents were Edwin Cady and Mary Taylor Cady. Orin and Nancy's children were:
1. Jennie Whitman (married Elmer Baker)
2. Frank Whitman (married Clara Baker and then Ella Miller -
Ella is my ggrandmother)
3. Edwin Whitman (married Ella Miller) Edwin died as a young
man in perhaps his 30's. Ella then married Edwin's brother, Frank
4. Mae Whitman (married a Lawrence)
5. Madison Whitman (married Etta Avery). Madison died as
a young man. He had said that by the time he died he wanted to own
all the land on both sides of the road that he lived on. He worked
himself to death to get that property.
I have a copies of old photos of the complete family, circa 1870's. I also have one of Frank Whitman as a young man, Frank & his first wife, Frank and Ella and two of their children. Also group photos.
Noel Whitman (my grandfather - was the son of Frank and Ella.
Frank & Clara had about 6 children. Frank and Ella had three
boys - Ross, Noel and Warren) Noel was first married to Winnifred Hanna
of Franklin County, New York. They divorced - leaving their children
to fend for themselves with relatives, foster homes, etc.
Their children were:
Joyce Whitman married Frasier Sturgeon. Joyce is now deceased and Frasier Sturgeon lives in Saranac Lake, New York. They have two children - one boy and one girl who are both adopted.
Orin Edwin Whitman - my father - 9/22/21 - 2/20/97. Married to Evelyn Jesmer Whitman. My mother is alive and also lives in Saranac Lake, NY. They have five daughters.
Shirley Whitman Ross married to Clayton Ross. They are both alive and live in Brushton, NY. They have one daughter and two sons.
Frank Whitman married to Margaret Bray Whitman. They are separated and have been for many, many years. They have six daughters (fantastic girls!) Frank lives in North Bangor, NY
Carl Whitman married to Helen Ploof Whitman. They are both alive
(oddly enough, Helen is my mother's cousin)
and live in Schnectady, NY and have one daughter.
Melissa, I can get you dates of birth on a lot if you are interested.
I also have photos that I can make copies of for you should you be interested.
Please let me know. Do you have any photos? If so,
what do you have? I am willing to share anything with you that you want.
By the way, in what city and state do you live?
