Relating to Kids!-4

Using "Kidisms"

"Kidisms" is a word that I coined to explain words that kids use among themselves. In other words, ones that are currently popular. Like when I was young (and I'm showing my age again) heavy, groovy, cool, and neat were popular. I know, that was a long time ago, but you get the point. Words that are used by a group. Listen to kids talking. Notice the words that they're saying. And despite the fact that they may sound rediculous to you, incorparate them into your speech pattern. That does two very important things, First without saying anything, it says to kids that you care enough to speak their language. Then, because you're "speaking their language," they'll listen better to you.

Other Ways to Relate

There are "not less important" ways to relate to kids. Here are a few of them. (Although I suspect you'll find others!)

Exercise 3

(Remember to make checks payable to Strong Foundation Ministries!)

Now after, and I mean after, you get your exercises for principle 1 back, then go to principle 2 by clicking on the 2 with a line under it!
