Hotaru's age is questionable, and she attends Mugen Gakuen School. In S is about 14 or 16. In the manga, she is in the sixth grade. Her age totally changes in Sailor Stars. She goes from age 1 to 4 then to 8 in about three episodes.
Hotaru also gets possessed by Mistress 9, a "bad girl" whose job was to prepare the coming of Master Pharoah. Master Pharoah could make the world go into a cold sleep forever, in other words bring about the silence! Mistress 9 stole and swallowed Chibi Usa/Reeny's heart crystal to get the power. Hotaru eventually defeats the Dark/Anti Messiah.
Hotaru becomes a baby at the end of S. Baby Hotaru was returned to her, now good, father and taken away again by Setsuna. Hotaru proves her power even as a baby. Hotaru is responsible for the Outer's Power-Up's. Sailor Saturn is definetly the most Powerful Senshi of all time. Her power alone can match up with all the scouts put together- minus Pluto.
