Poopdeck Pappy

Original release date: Nov. 15, 1940

Popeye doesn't think his 99-year-old Pappy should be out partying all night, but everything Popeye does to try and prevent it is for naught. Considering how well the old man handles himself and cuts a rug at the century mark, Popeye seems like a nag.

Delightful cartoon, with the pleasantly seedy atmosphere of the very early Fleischer cartoons (you can just about smell the dockside bar where Pappy parties). Great animation work on Pappy's dancing, too.
