Explosive Reaction Armor is taken from very old war machines that were once used. This armor sits just above the normal armor of a zoid. When struck, it explodes outwards. This minimalizes damage, and can actually cause d to enemy zoid if close enough to be struck by the shrapnel made by the exploding armor. The only problem is that the armor must be replaced after every battle, so buy it when you think you really need it for a battle.
Cost: $2,000 per armor coating
