Legend of Zelda

This is the first Zelda game. Made for the NES, a brilliantly designed video game for it's time. In this story, Link travels a large area, trying to save Princess Zelda from the evil Ganon. It was first released in 1987, being the first game to use a battery to save game progress. It challenged a players wits as well as thier courage, with many puzzeling dungeons. Also, after you've finished your quest, and you think it's all over, you are given a second quest. When it was released I would have given it, ooh, let's say...... an 8. If it was released today, though, it wouldn't have gotten such a high rating.

Legend of Zelda: The Adventure of Link

This game was released sometime in 1988 for the NES. It was pretty much just a follow up to the last game. One difference was that although it was mostly an overview, some battles were fought with the view from the side. Not as good as the first though. Probably would deserve a 7.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Zelda: A Link to the Past is said to be one of the best Zelda games made! With multistory dungeons, battles faught the original way, and a world of light and one of darkness, it's an excelent game. Tons of weapons at your disposal, you almost never get bored. It features a great cast of characters, too. Also the first for the SNES.I'd give it an 8.

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

Link's Awakening, the first Zelda game for Game Boy was an excelent sequel to A Link to The Past. Many dungeons, caves, weapons, characters, and a great storyline, make it one of the best Game Boy games ever. In this story, Link is washed up on a mysterious island. He can only escape if he awakens the mighty Wind Fish. I have played this game before and it is very addictive. You can also enter an extra dungeon if you have a Game Boy Colour. This game also deserves an 8.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, in my opinion, is probably one of the best Zelda games yet! I own the game and it is really cool. In the game Link is trying to get all the sage medallions so that he can gain enough power to defeat Ganondorf Dragmire. When you start out you are young Link (age 10) but later on you become adult link, who is 17. It has loads of dungeons, not to mention tons of weapons counting the 4 different kinds of swords possible for you to get, 3 different shields, even different tunics!(some letting you breathe under water or survive extreme heat) Many multistory places to visit, as well as a lake, a desert, and lots more. I'd give this game a whopping 9.5. These games keep getting better!

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

This game was said to be the biggest game for N64 yet. A great cast of characters, high detail dungeons, cool weapons and really fun side quests to try. In this game, Link travels to a new land where in three days the moon will come crashing into earth. On his quest, Child Link collects masks. Different ones give him different advantages in different situations. Some even transform him into new creatures! He is also given the option to transport himself back in time to the dawn of the first day. Very fun but in my opinion, it's not as fun as Ocarina of Time. I'd give it a 9.

Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons

This new Zelda game sure looks like a doozee. It is made for Game Boy Color and it just looks great. I've seen a few screenshots and it looks like Nintendo has done it again. And it wouldn't be a good Zelda game without a great cast of characters! This one has more than many previous games from this series. From what I've heard, you start out in Hyrule and stumble apon a castle. Inside Link finds the Triforce and is transported to the land of Holodrum or something like that. Once there Link finds that Din, a lovely dancer has been kidnapped along with the rod of seasons, throwing the seasons into a wacky spin. Link sets off on a quest to save Din and to recover the rod of seasons. In the game there are many items including the slingshot and the magnetic gloves.

Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages

This wonderful Zelda game is much like Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons only that in this one you are transported to the land of Lens or something like that. The storyline for this one is very interesting, too. Once in the strange new land, Link meets Impa who tells him to bring her to Nell. You lead Impa to a secret place where Nell is. Once there, Impa reveals that she is really Belan and merges with Nell's body. She goes back in time leaving Link to find her. Link must also find 8 magical items (not weapons, although he does need to find a few of those too) during his journey. To go back and forth through time, Link plays the song of time on a magic harp. The weapons in this game are much like those of oracle of Seasons. To learn more about this game and it's 'sibling' click

Zelda Cube

Extremely little is known about this Zelda game, except that it's going to be a lot more cartoony then other previous ones. Some people aren't intirely confident with this new look, but Mr. Miyamoto assures us that this will be one of the best Zelda games ever. You decide with the pics we've got.

Special Game Cube Zelda

Rumor has it that a second edition of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be made for the Game Cube. This will be a separate game from Zelda Cube. I got this info from a reliable source so it probably is true. Apparently it will be put into three seperate CD's: one for the actual game (which includes a few dungeons not included in the first and possibly better graphics), one for comments by the designers, directors and so on, and one for music from the game. I hope this is true, I'd love to see OOT redone for the Cube.

Codes and Glitches

Link's Awakening Codes and Glitches

Missiles

This is a very simple code. Once you have arrows and bombs, set bombs to the B button and arrows to the A button. When you are walking along, press both the A and B buttons at the same time. You will fire an explosive arrow or a "missile".

Steal From Stores

This has to be the most popular code for this game. It lets you steal anything you want from stores. To do it, choose the item in a store you want to steal and pick it up. Walk over to the right of the sales-person or whoever he is (his right) and wait for him to look in your direction. Without talking to the guy, after he turns towards you, run for the exit with the item you want. You will have recieved it without paying!!!
WARNING: After using this code, there are two things you must know. One, if you ever go back into the store you stole the item from the sales-person will kill you. Plain and simple. Second, everyone you meet, instead of calling you by your real name will call you Thief. So think twice before using this code.

Ocarina of Time Codes and Glitches

I know a few codes for Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but some of the things here little things that a lot of people don't know about. One of them, how to make Link skip, is really dopey.

Mario and Friends

When you are young Link and you meet Zelda for the first time, before you talk to her, shoot a Deku Seed into the window on Zelda's right side. You will get a red rupee. Also look into the window at different angles to see Mario, Bowser and others. If you accidently shoot in to the window on the other side, a soldier will say, "Hey you, don't cause trouble!" and through a bomb at you.

Infinite Gold Skultulas

This one's one of my favourites. Once you've learned the song of the storms, go to Hyrule castle as a kid. To the left of the moat, near the front, there is a tree with chopable bushes around it. Stand in front of the tree and play the Song of the Storms. If you are standing in the right place a grotto should appear. If not, just try in a different spot around the tree. Once you've made the grotto appear, go down it. There should be a circular room. Several parts of the wall can be distroyed by bombing them. Try this until you demolish one with a gold skultula behind it. Destroy the skultula but do not pick up the token. Move towards the warp-beam thingy that will bring you back up. Stand right next to the edge, as close as possible without going up. Z-target the token. Use your boomerang, and as quickly as possible (before the boomerang returns) get on the warp pad. The token will get to you as your going back up. The text box announcing your new token should stop during the word "destroyed". After you are out, your skultula metre will have gone up 1. Go back into the grotto and the gold skultula will still be there. Repeat this method as many times as necissary.

Make Link Skip

This glitch will only work in Ocarina of Time. They took it out for Majora's mask. It's very simple: while walking, repeatedly tap the z button. It will look kinda like he's floating while vibrating. I guess I just call it "skipping" because there's no other word for it. Pretty pointless, huh?

Duplicate a Bottle

This code may take a few tries. To do it, set an empty bottle to one of your c-buttons. Then stand in front of something you can put in a bottle (ie, a bug or fish). Then use your bottle on whatever is in front of you. Half way through your swing, change to a useless c-item, like the Biggoron sword reciept. If you did this correctly your Bigorron sword reciept should now be another bottle.

Bubbles Defying Gravity

I know I'm putting way to many glitches in this section but what the heck. Anyways, this glitch will work in a number of places but the best place in my opinion with the best view is in Lake Hylia. So here's what you do: Go to Gorudo Valley and jump into the river off the cliff. As soon as you get to lake Hylia, you'll be in a small river. When you get to the puny waterfall, try to swim against the drop. When you go over (if you are swiming against it) you will repeatedly kinda jerk around in the water fall. If done right you will see bubbles going up the waterfall. But wait, bubbles can't go up waterfalls, can they?

Majora's Mask Codes and Glitches

Jump Forwards 12 Hours

This is a very well known code, so you probably already know it. But if you don't, here it is: play the Song of Time but instead of doing it normally, play each note twice. This will bring you forwards 12 hours.
