Here are a list of the characters you can be in this RPG. You CANNOT be a made up character!

HEROES

Description: Hiei is a fire apparition whose true origins are unknown. He is a master swordsman, and his strength and speed are incredible. However, these are hardly his most fearsome abilities. Typically kept concealed behind a bandanna on his forehead is the Jagan, a mysterious third eye that possesses magical properties. With it he can control weak-minded humans, send telepathic messages, and move objects telekinetically. Hiei is fiercely independent, and his raw ambition drives him to pursue his own agenda at all times. Although he generally cares little for human life, and views others as mere obstacles in the pursuit of his own goals, Hiei strictly adheres to his own unique code of honor. As such, he helps those who help him, and is fiercely loyal to those who have managed to earn his respect.

*TAKEN*Name: Yusuke Urameshi*TAKEN*
Age: 14
Description: Fourteen-year-old Yusuke Urameshi is the worst student at Sarayashiki Junior High. He gets terrible grades, skips class as often as possible, and has little respect for authority. On top of that, his coarse language and brash, arrogant manner get him into more altercations than can he can count. Fortunately for him, he's good at protecting himself. Really good. In fact, Yusuke has the reputation of being the toughest kid in town. But despite his killer rep, Yusuke is misunderstood. His home life is troubled. He is constantly hounded by his teachers, by his mother, and by fellow students gunning for him... As such, Yusuke is generally pretty miserable. Only after being assigned the job of Spiritual Detective does Yusuke truly begin to find his place in life.

Description: A messenger of the Spirit World, Botan serves as a guide to newly-departed spirits. She is friendly and often quite chipper, but when it comes to performing her duties she is all business. After Yusuke is assigned the job of Spiritual Detective, Koenma assigns Botan to be his assistant. Her knowledge and experience often prove invaluable to Yusuke during his many adventures.

Name: Kuwabara
Age: 14
Description: Kuwabara is Yusuke's chief rival at Sarayashiki Junior High. Like Yusuke, he isn't the greatest student, but he is an excellent fighter. Next to Yusuke he is a formidable adversary. Kuwabara is driven by an unwavering desire to be the best. Adding comic relief to Yu Yu Hakusho, Kuwabara has an affinity for kittens.

Age: 300+ (appears to be only 15 years old)
Description: Not actually a human, Kurama has lived for over 300 years and possesses the wisdom and knowledge one would expect of someone his age. He is generally soft-spoken, almost eerily calm, even in the face of great adversity. But this calm exterior belies Kurama's incredible strength. He is a powerful, ruthless warrior, with wisdom and experience. As such, he is a formidable opponent to all he battles.

Name: Koenma
Age: 700+
Description: Son of King Yama, ruler of the Spirit World, Koenma is left in charge of day to day operations while his father is away on vacation (a chore he despises - too much paperwork!). Koenma's youthful appearance is quite deceiving - the little prince is actually over 700 years old! Koenma possesses the wisdom to accompany his years, and can pose a rather commanding figure in spite of his diminutive size. There's only one thing that Koenma fears - making his father angry!

Name: Kayko
Age: 14
Description: Kayko is Yusuke's closest (and at times, only) friend. She and Yusuke have known each other since they were little children, and although he would never admit it, she is probably the person that he cares most about in the world. As such, Kayko has a unique ability to talk sense into Yusuke when he is being stubborn or unruly. Kayko is one of the leading students in her school. Intelligent, friendly, and outgoing, she is well-liked and respected by her peers. She is confident, self-assured, and at times a bit head-strong. She is brave in the face of danger, and will not hesitate to put herself at risk in order to help a friend in need.

Name: Genkai
Age: 70+
Description: Genkai, aging master of the Reidoha (or Spirit Wave) fighting technique, wishes to pass her knowledge to one worthy pupil before she dies. Yusuke is chosen to be that pupil, and he soon discovers Genkai's training to be the most difficult ordeal of his life. Despite her advanced years, Genkai constantly amazes Yusuke with her ability to perform superhuman feats of strength and agility. Her wit is as finely honed as her technique, and she possesses the wisdom that comes from a life rich with experience. Impossible to intimidate, she stares unflinchingly into the face of danger, ready to meet even the most dauntig of challenges.

Name: Masked Fighter

Description: As the name would imply, this fighter's identityy is a mystery. He shows up with Yusuke at the port where the ship to Hanging Neck Island is docked. But when a huge battle Royale breaks out on the deck of the ship the Masked Fighter takes care of the whole lot with the Spirit Shotgun. As the Dark Tournament progresses, the Masked Fighter's secrets slowly begin to be made known.

Name: Yukina
Age: Unknown
Description: Although Yukina appears human, she is actually an Ice Apparition from Spirit World. She possesses powers that enable he to freeze her surroundings at will. As an interesting side-effect of these powers, when Yukina cries, her tears harden into beautiful jewels. These jewels are very valuable, thus Yukina finds herself a target of the greed of evil men. She has studied the art of Spirit Healing and is very proficient in her abilities.

VILLAINS

Name: Shorin / Rando
Age: Pre-teen / Unknown
Description: A mild-mannered but powerful young fighter, Shorin enters Genkai's Tournament in hopes of becoming the aging master's pupil. But this quiet young man is not what he seems. Shorin is in fact none other than the monster Rando in disguise! Rando is a terrible creature who has eliminated 99 fighting masters and stolen their special techniques. He now needs only to steal Genkai's power of Reidoha (the Spirit Wave) and he will become virtually invincible.

Name: Gouki
Age: Unknown
Description: A dangerous criminal from the Spirit World with over a dozen convictions to his name, Gouki has escaped his prison and is on the loose in the human world. Yusuke is given the assignment of apprehending the villain, but he'd better be careful! Gouki is incredibly strong, and has used his strength to kill more than ten pursuers already! When backed into a corner, Gouki reveals his true form by transforming into Kyuukonki..

Name: Kibano
Age: Unknown
Description: Kibano is a man of few words, preferring to let his arsenal of martial arts attacks do his talking for him. Among his more devastating moves is the Big Arm Bomber, an attack which uses concentrated Spirit Energy to amplify the power of his already explosive punches. Kibano sometimes makes use of a special helmet that enhances his Spirit Awareness and allows him to sense, rather than see, the movements of his opponents.

Name: Kazemaru
Age: Unknown
Description: One of the semi-finalists in the Genkai Tournament, Kazemaru is well trained in the Jijitzu art of stealth. His considerable fighting skills put him in high demand among government officials as a top professional bodyguard. Kazemaru is able to channel his Spirit Energy through the palm of his hand, emitting a powerful blast similar to Yusuke's Spirit Gun-but far more potent.

Name: Bakken

Description: Large and oafish, Bakken wears the scars of many battles. He takes advantage of an unconscious Kurama by attacking him while he is defenseless. Bakken's White Mist technique creates a cloud of mist from his body that allows him to attack unseen.

Name: Bui
Age: Unknown
Description: A member of the Toguro Team, Bui shrouds his entire body with powerful armor, which holds back his profound strength. He also carries a large axe that he uses to pummel his opponents, and is able to shoot intense energy blasts powerful enough to destroy nearly anything in its path.

Name: Byakko

Description: The second of the Four Saint Beasts, Byakko is a ferocious white tiger whose imposing size and incredible strength cause even the most battle-hardened opponents to shake with fear. Byakko is able to feed on the energy of his foes and uses the resulting boost in power to increase his size, create additional tiger beasts, and exercise his most dangerous attack - the Tiger Scream.

Name: Chu

Description: The true leader of Team Rokuyukai, Chu enters the ring as a replacement fighter after destroying the remaining members of his team for being cowards! He is a master Boxer and loves the thrill of the knife-edge match, a dangerous form of combat which he has never lost.

Name: Dr. Ichigaki
Age: Unknown
Description: Dr. Ichigaki is a demon scientist who took advantage of a group of fighters in order to use them for his own terrifying experiments. Dr. Ichigaki calculates his team's chances of winning to nearly 100%, bringing him closer to his ultimate goal of taking control of Yusuke's body!

Name: Gama

Description: Gama is the ultimate master of disguise. That is, he uses a powerful concoction of make-up in order to defeat his unsuspecting opponents. His most powerful weapon is the Make-up of the Seal, which binds an opponent's spirit energy within their body.

Name: Genbu
Age: Unknown
Description: Sometimes called 'The Stone Beast', and one of the Four Saint Beasts of Maze Castle, Genbu is a fearsome sight to behold. His deformed body is almost animal-like in appearance - except for the fact that it is composed entirely of stone. Genbu can fuse his body with any type of rock. As such, he often travels throughout Maze Castle by "melting" into the solid stone walls. He can use this ability to reach beyond the confines of the castle, in order to deliver messages to demon subordinates on the outside. It also gives him a decided advantage when confronting intruders within his walls.

Description: Gokumonki, uses his size, strength, and very large spiked club to crush enemies to pieces.

Name: Hirue
Age: Unknown
Description: Hirue is a demon who acts as a security guard on Tarukane's property. He has orders to destroy anyone trying to break in and rescue the ice apparition, Yukina. When Hirue transforms into his most powerful form, Yusuke and the gang must pull out all the stops in order to get past the hulking monster.

Name: Jin

Description: Of all the people Yusuke has ever met, Jin is the closest to a kindred spirit. Like Yusuke, Jin enjoys a good time and a good fight. But don't let his amicable nature fool you. This Wind Master has the capability to destroy anyone in his path including his new "friend."

Name: Jyaki

Description: After returning to his body, Yusuke encounters a few old friends being harassed by a rival gang and their leader, Sakamoto. But Yusuke's powers begin to manifest themselves allowing him to see that Sakamoto is possessed by an evil spirit named Jyaki. The apprehension of this spirit becomes Yusuke's first act as Spirit Detective.

Name: Karasu

Description: Although a member of the Toguro team, Karasu defeated, yet spared by Toguro. Since that time he has pledged service to the Toguro Brothers and follows their orders without question. Karasu is a master at using bombs to his advantage, and he can send his energy directly into an opponent's body before igniting it and destroying his target.

Name: Kuro Momotaro

Description: Kuro Momotaro's body has the amazing ability to memorize any attack made against it causing him to be nearly indestructible. He also carries strange orbs called Steaming Spheres. When he breaks one of the spheres his body becomes covered in armor. And with a plethora of spheres at his side, Kuro Momotaro is sure to only become tougher and tougher.

Age: Unknown
Description: In order to save their teacher, these three unfortunate former humans sacrifice themselves to the twisted experiments of Dr. Ichigake. Cold and emotionless, each team member possesses a unique spiritual weapon. Their only reason for being is to bow before Ichigaki's every command.

Name: Suzuka/Onji
Age: Unknown
Description: Onji first appears as an old man who looks past his prime as a fighter. He reveals that he personally assembled Team Uraotogi and taught them special techniques that he could exploit on the way to the semi-finals and beyond. But when the wise Genkai discovers Onji's deception, his true form in revealed. The Beautiful Suzuka, as he demands to be addressedis a master of disguise and trickery. He loves life in the spotlight and plans on using the fame and power from winning the Dark Tournamentto rule the world.

Name: Rinku
Age: Unknown
Description: Team Rokuyukai's first fighter, Rinku is small in stature and playful by nature. He is master of the Serpent Yo Yo, an attack that transfers his spirit energy into the strings of the yo-yo causing them to act as if they are extensions of his own body.

Name: Risho
Age: Unknown
Description: The Earth Master, Risho, is the leader of Team Masho. Risho doesn't mind taking a victory dishonestly, which is why he and his team are on the payroll of the vile Butajiri. He considers results the ultimate victory, no matter the price.

Name: Roto
Age: Unknown
Description: A member of Team Rokoyukai, Roto's greatest skill is the ability to locate an opponent's weakness and exploit it. He devises an evil scheme involving Kurama's mother; if Kurama will not allow himself to be beaten, a demon will destroy her!

Name: Suzaku
Age: Unknown
Description: The leader of the 4 saint beasts, Suzaku looks most human of them all. He can create Cultivated Humans; beings with no thoughts of their own or free will and are absolutely obedient to their creator. Suzaku can also create duplicates of himself giving him a decided edge in battle.

Name: Seiryu
Age: Unknown
Description: The third of the Four Saint Beasts, Seiryu, the Blue Dragon, stands nearly twelve feet tall and possesses the incredible speed to match his incredible height. His powers enable him to lower the temperature of the air surrounding his body to well below the freezing point, thus giving him a vast arsenal of powerful ice attacks, including his signature technique, the Ice Dragon.

Description: A member of the Uraotogi Team, much of Shishi Wakamaru's power is generated from his mystical sword, the Banshee Shriek, which has the ability to summon lost souls. This diabolical demon planned on sacrificing some members of his team in the hopes that they would soften Team Urameshi up before he ever stepped foot in the ring.

Name: Elder Toguro

Description: If his younger brother has the brawn, the older, smaller Toguro certainly has the brains. He has the amazing ability to shift his internal organs around inside his body allowing him to survive even the most powerful assaults. As long as his vital parts remain intact, this Toguro brother is virtually unbeatable.

Description: The younger Toguro possesses the ability to increase his already considerable size at will, multiplying his strength by a hundred fold or more. He is a man of few words, but his contempt for humanity is apparent in the scowl that dominates his stone-like exterior. Though he often uses his powers in the service of evil, Toguro is not without honor. He does not destroy without reason.

Name: Touya

Description: Considered the greatest ice master in the world, Touya is one of the most powerful members of Team Masho. Able to fashion weapons out of ice, Touya's Shards of Winter, an array of sharp blades of ice, is enough to subdue even the most powerful opponents.

Name: Ura Urashima

Description: Ura Urashima is a small demon that uses a fishing pole as a weapon. He tricks Kurama into believing a sob story about his sick grandmother only to turn the tables and unleash the vile mist of the Idunn Box upon him. Whoever breathes the mist transforms back to a younger age. Despite appearances, Ura Urashima is a capable fighter who isn't afraid to break any rule in the book.

Name: Zeru
Age: Unknown
Description: A powerful fighter with a nasty reputation, Zeru is the apparent leader of Team Rokoyukai. Zeru has the ability to control fire and incorporate it into various dangerous attacks. Hiei respects Zeru's abilities to such a level that he is compelled to attempt his own most dangerous technique in order to defeat the fire controlling demon.

Name: Ruka
Age: Unknown
Description: Appearing at the Dark Tournament as a nurse, the diabolical Ruka is actually a powerful sorceress on the payroll of Team Masho. She uses her magic to trap Hiei and the Masked Fighter in the medical tent before Team Urameshi's match against Tam Masho leaving only Yusuke, Kurama, and a badly injured Kuwabara to fight.

SUPPORTING

Name: Atsuko
Age: Mid 30's
Description: Atsuko is Yusuke's irresponsible single mother. She loves her son and tries to steer him in the right direction as best she can, but her erratic mood swings tend to make her an ineffective parent. Atsuko is aware of her shortcomings, and if there's one thing she wants for Yusuke, it's for him to make something more of himself in life than she has.

Name: Mr. Takenaka
Age: Late 30's - early 40's
Description: One of the head teachers at Sarayashiki Junior High, he sees a spark of good in Yusuke where his fellow teachers see only a worthless young punk. Mr. Takenaka is an honest and honorable man whose actions are motivated by a genuine concern for the well-being of his students. He is strict, but fair, and is the only teacher at the school that Yusuke respects.

Name: Mr. Iwamoto / Mr. Akashi
Age: Mid 30's
Description: Teachers at Sarayashiki Junior High, both Mr. Iwamoto and Mr. Akashi consider Yusuke Urameshi and his trouble-making friends to be the scum of the earth. As such, they are determined to have these hopeless and unruly students permanently expelled before they can do irreparable harm to the school's all-important reputation. To this end, Iwamoto and Akashi are willing to do whatever it takes, and will not hesitate to lie, cheat, or steal if they feel it will further their cause.

Name: Okubo
Age: 14
Description: One of Kuwabara's friends who is in his gang. Okubo is a respectable fighter in his own right. Unfortunately, his fighting also often gets him into trouble with his teachers at school. But despite the fact that his teachers have him pegged as a trouble-maker, Okubo is actually a very responsible young man. In addition to attending Sarayashiki Jr. High, Okubo works a part-time job to help support his siblings and his ailing mother.

Name: Blue Ogre
Age: Unknown
Description: Blue Ogre is Koenma's right hand man. But that is not necessarily a good thing. He faithfully fulfills his duty despite taking the brunt of Koenma's frustration.

Name: Eikichi

Description: Eikichi is a cat. Kuwabara's cat to be precise. Kuwabara loves his cuddly pet so much that he would do anything to protect it no matter what the danger.

Name: Juri
Age: Unknown
Description: Juri is the new referee of the Dark Tournament's Semi-Final round. She is a first tiem referee and relishes the fact that she knows the "rule book" backward and forward. Juri may share Koto's bubbly enthusiasm for competition and violence, but if the action ever turns a little rougher than expected, don't expect Juri to stick around!

Name: King Yama

Description: King Yama is the ruler of Spirit World and the father of Koenma. King Yama leaves his son in charge while he takes off for a much needed vacation. Whoever said managing the world beyond was easy?!

Name: Koto
Age: Unknown
Description: Koto is the emcee and referee of the Dark Tournament. All she loves more than her job is seeing how out of control the fights become. This bubbly girl lives for the heart stopping action of the competition and takes great pride in her work.

Name: Puu
Age: Unknown
Description: Puu is the result of Yusuke's spirit trial. When Yusuke's spirit egg hatched, the small, cuddly Puu was born. Puu usually keeps quiet, but because of his profound connection with Yusuke, he feels what Yusuke feels; if Yusuke is happy, sad, or in pain, Puu suffers just as Yusuke does. Puu doesn't communicate much with words...his failing health is all Yusuke's friends need to know that their team leader is in trouble!
