Gio Graccianno
(1910-1942)

Controlled the Bronx and profited from bootlegging. He worked for Joe Masseria. During the Castellammarese War he realized that Masseria had no real shot at winning. He got in with Lucky Luciano on his plot to take over. Luciano was working for Masseria and was plotting with Maranzano to kill him. Masseria learned of Reina's double-cross and ordered Reina murdered. As he left the home of his aunt on February 26, 1930, he waved to an associate he saw, Vito Genovese. Genovese then took out a shotgun and blew his head off. His death sparked the Castellammarese War into full swing.

Giuseppe Cicero

To the bad luck of Tom Gagliano and Tray Graccianno, Giuseppe was selected to take over Gio's family. Gagliano intended to take over the family, so Graccianno, on Luciano's advice, had Giuseppe murdered on September 9, 1930, with gunshot wounds to the left chest and neck. His body was found in a suite leased to Graccianno. Graccianno was indicted for murder, but the charge was eventually dropped. The real killer, according to turncoat Joe Valachi, was Bobby Doyle.

A powerful Mob figure who like many others got started in bootlegging and served as a spy for Napolo Salvadore and was the murder of Maranzano. He was born in Sicily and had close ties with the Donatelli family. In 1968 when his good friend Naplo Salvadore re-created the new Commission. Tray had just taken power along with his close friend Vito Donatelli who had taken control of Brooklyn. Things were good until Napolo felt his power was being undermined by Tray, and accused him of insulting his family, then pulled weapons on him. Tray swore revenge for the betrayal and despite the advise of the commission he killed off all of Napolo's men and allies, leaving Napolo by himself, Napolo then went on the run out of New York. Tray left him for several months consolidating his power then when he had a firm control of the commission he sent hit squads to Kill Salvatore. That left him and Vito Donatelli in control of the entire commission. Tray was known to be quick to the gun and ill tempered. He was also known as a ladies man and had dated both of Salvadore sisters.
