last embrace
I see her fading to mortality
Her appearance changes
I love here still
darkness fill my world
My wings fade to oblivion
tears stream down her face forming a pool with my own
I take her for one last embrace
I comfort her
torn between what we once were and what can never be
sorrow etches both our faces
fearing the changes I turn and walk away
she is the goddess no more
I can be her guardian no longer
