Original Question:

Is wrath gender specific? Do you think gender makes one more wrathful? If so HOW? (legit answers only please)

Bramble's Response:

Wrath knows no gender. Both male and female have emotions. Some may be different, and both have different forms of wrathful nature. Males may be more prone to physical forms of wrath, but still they entail just as much the forms of wrath as females do. Females may have a tendency to be more verbal and taking intricate detail to plot revenge, but it’s still just a form of Wrath. Neither is more powerful. Just that some are more disciplined to their chosen form. Hormones play no role. Estrogen to testosterone. Might I add, that whole argument that “testosterone is to blame” is being ignorant to a mere mortal idea. Mortals do not understand the means by which males or females sometimes act so violently, so they blame the hormone, for they cannot see the power working within the soul. Mortal science cannot detect the effects of a wraith or Wrath! So go ahead, blame the testosterone, blame PMS and bitchiness while you’re at it.

I’d like to address this whole issue that males only mainly use physical wrath, and that women are more powerful at the lashing tongue. **raises a brow** I could name several males in this life that lash out with words and phrases to crumple a person to a ball of nothing. We chose our forms in other ways, look to rap, full of rage in there. The perception that females have had the shitty end of the stick may seem so in society and throughout history, and the tales of a woman’s sorrows more present. Yet remember, women are more emotional then men in a sense. This whole thing got out of control in this issue. Yet I still stand by the fact, just because a woman can glare at you, or think that she can whip a man, men can do the same in return. A man can seduce a girl, lead her on and backstab her taking pleasure in her pain, just as so a woman can use a man and hurt him badly. Some fail to think that is possible, men hurt equally with emotion. You want to know why it isn’t evident as much as the female side? Simple, men are ruled by pride, and don’t show their emotions so freely when hurt like women do. Again, different forms, but it still no difference. No one is greater in forms of wrath. For every female that can dish out harsh words or manipulation, there is a male of her equality out there.

When it comes to sins and the Apostleships, you need to leave out gender. Look at Lust, most would think a woman should be lust as it’s a stereotype, but the Apostle of Lust is male. Why? Because he encompasses all of what Lust is. He understands it, and wasn’t discriminated by his gender. So, saying that Wrath should only be a woman is truly ignorant. For the label “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” is truthful but lacking. As this label says to me, Hell is incomplete with the pain of the woman, well….hell is incomplete without the pain of the male. Where’s that whole balance thing now? Balance, as Hell is not just for any one gender, the sins are not either. Wrath is part of the balance. A cold stare of a pissed off woman is just as potent and equal to the stinging stare of ruthless male army captain.

Again, wrath knows no gender.
