Biography:
Saturn is from the Two Rivers or at least she thinks she is. Saturn has no memory of her life before the age of 16. When she was 18 she went to the Tower to train as Aes Sedai. She knew she could channel and was good at it when she was young, though she is unsure of how she knew all that she did know. At the Tower she trained and became stronger. She was raised to full sister hood and chose to be of the Green Ajah. She Bonded a Wader named Hal, who saved her when she was kidnapped by an enemy of his. One day her warder disappeared and was never heard from again. She released his bond, because she did not want to feel his death if he ever was to die. She is now warderless and is not sure if she wants another one. Maybe someday, but she is content.

Saturn sat her desk and worked on some paper work. She had just finished with Tyline, an Accepted that seemed to have stopped participating in anything at the Tower. Saturn sighed and opened her top drawer and pulled out a small tin and opened it. Saturn grabbed a cookie out of it and ate it. She was hungry but didn’t have time to eat. She had lots of work that needed to be done lessons to do give and a raising to do shortly.

Saturn put the tin back in her drawer and went back to writing some notes for her next lessons she was to give. Saturn stopped again and then made a note for her to take a vacation. Maybe if she went away for awhile, she could relieve some of the stress that has begun to pile up. In actuality, Saturn was very confused and aggravated, not knowing what was going on or what to do. She was, frustrated…

Saturn sat up straight in her chair and paid attention to the small knot in the back of her head that was Hal. It was getting stronger and closer. Hal had gone into a type of seclusion and Saturn ended up not bothering him. It was odd, she was able to block it out and ignore it for the longest time and now it was like she was hit hard with something as he came closer. Saturn wondered what he wanted. She had not sent for him in quite a while and as far as she could tell this was the first time she actually thought of him, so to speak. Saturn stopped everything she was doing and stared at the door. Saturn never really knew why he did what he did. He just up and left. Saturn sighed and watched the door.

A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door. Saturn hesitated. She closed her eyes and yawned. Another knock came which caught her off guard and she almost fell out of her chair. Saturn took a deep breath.

“Come in.”

The door opened and as suspected, in walked Hal. Saturn held back a smile, though she thinks it kind of showed. She knew it would be hard to hide it for long, he would know that she was happy, but she still had the right to be upset, for a little while at least. Saturn sighed to keep a straight face. She didn’t want him to know right away that she was extremely happy to see him. She wanted to let him stew for a bit. She was a bit upset because he just up and left her with out a word. She couldn’t stay mad at someone for long either, it just wasn’t her, unless the person gave her a very good reason to be mad at them. His reasons were unknown and it did hurt that he was so, so quiet and secluded all this time. She glared at him and cleared her throat.

“Hal, what a surprise to see you in this neck of the woods. Is everything all right? What can I do for you?” Saturn waited to hear his reasoning, if any.

"Come in."

Hal opened the door slowly and stepped insdie, shutting it quietly behind him. Through the bond he could feel some of her emotions, she was both happy and upset, and hurt. It was an odd mix but not a totally unexpected one. She sat at her desk, some papers in front of her, looking as beautiful and radiant as he remembered. He didn't know what to say and just stood there until Saturn spoke.

"Hal, what a surprise to see you in this neck of the woods. Is everything all right? What can I do for you?"

Hal smiled lopsidedly and shook his head.

"It has been a long time hasn't it? I guess that I deserve this response, Light I deserve far far worse!"

Saturn looked as though she were about to speak but Hal held up his hand to forestall her.

"No, I owe you some kind of explaination so I shall give it, inadequate though it will be. Burn me but I can't think of any explaination that would be good enough."

Hal shook his head again and unconsciously ran his hand through his hair, mussing it and almost imperceptibly dropping some of the years from his face.

"As you know I was good friends with Feremin. It was for him more than anything else that I took the position of Master of Arms, I did not have any ambition for the job but he needed someone to do it and believed that I was that someone. That meant a lot to me, more than I realised at the time in fact. Throughout the time I had the position Feremin was there too, acting as Head Gaidin but more importantly acting as a friend and equal. He was a solid presence, dependable and reliable, I knew that he would always be there to help me and that I would always help him."

Hal sighed and his eyes went to a distant place as he worked through what had happened, what he had thought and felt, in words for the first time. He was hardly aware of Saturn being in the room and yet this was definately more for her than it was for him. She needed to know, he already did and saying it out loud wasn't going to help him any more, he had been down the road of healing his mind and emotions and come out the other side. That was why he was here at all.

"Then things changed. Feremin grew... restless I suppose. You saw it, everyone at the Tower did. He lost it, his temper adn the respect of his students. He couldn't go on and his decision to take a sabbatical was the right one, things would only have become worse otherwise. Still it was a blow, all the older Gaidin who had said that he was too young for the position were acting knowingly. These were the same men who had claimed me as too young too and I began to believe them. After all there seemed some justification in their assertations and my confidence in my position in the world had been shaken by Feremin's leaving. I became disillusioned with my position - Light you must have felt it - and eventually stopped working. I delegated more and more of my duties and then stepped down. You know that of course. Well when I did that I found myself at a loose end, I had nothing to focus on, not like when I was Master of Arms. So insteda I threw myself into the forms and tried to ! lose myself in them. Was it a mistake? I honestly don't know, I think that it has worked in the long run but in the short term it was a foolish thing to do. I became so obsessed with finding myself and my purpose in my training that I neglected and forgot about those very things. First and foremost I am a Gaidin, more than that though I am your Warder. I lost that but I've found it again and I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I ignored you, sorry that I hurt you and sorry that I closed you out of my mind and my life. It was stupid and it was selfish and it's over now. That is, if you want it to be over... So Saturn, do you wish for me to resume my place at your side or should we sever our Bond and go our separate ways? I know which I wish but the choice is up to you..."

Saturn sat quietly and listened as Hal went through what was going on in is head. The reason he left and did what he did. In a way she understood, but why did he block her out? Why wouldn’t he let her help or be there for support? Saturn sighed quietly to herself and continued to listen.

“First and foremost I am a Gaidin, more than that though I am your Warder.

Saturn heard that and just stared at him… sever the Bond. Saturn was shocked at the thought. Though in a way, she could see where he was coming from. Saturn smiled at him and stood up behind her desk.

“No Hal, this is worth loosing my Warder over. You needed to find yourself and I understand that, though blocking me out, like you have mentioned, did hurt. I felt as if I wasn’t strong enough to help you. But, like you said, it is over and I want you to still be my warder…”

Saturn put a big smile on and unconsciously giggled. She walked out from behind her desk and stood in front of Hal.

“Also, like my pupils, you shall not be let off easy, for disappearing and making me worry.” Saturn poked him in the chest and continued. “I want you to personally take care of Mokona, (pst, I have finally named my horse :p) for one week, making sure he is looking nice and clean. I will be inspecting to make sure it is done properly”

Saturn winked and kissed Hal on the forehead and walked towards the door.

“I have a few things to do right now, maybe we can get together later and talk some more.”

With that Saturn grinned and walked out the door and headed off to one of her classrooms. She had to prepare for tomorrow’s lesson. Saturn searched the bond to see what Hal was feeling. She wished she could have seen his face, but she was already running late and wanted to get stuff done before it got late. Saturn was very happy and wondered if that is what Hal was expecting from her. She shrugged and continued on. He would know where to find her later if he wanted to talk. They had a lot of catching up to do. He had been gone for far too long.
