She is very straight forward and will tell you things to your face, but knows when to back off, expecailly to those in higher positions though she sometimes slips and says things she shouldn't have. She had been given numerous tasks and did well in them. She is very good with a knife and can easily defend herself. She hoped to move up in the ranks of being a dark friend.

Hotaru is considered the Head of the non-channeling Darkfriends.

Biography: Hotaru Dalzar is a 23 year old born in Tear. As a child she was always treated poorly because everyone kept saying her parents were darkfriends. She had no friends and was beat up numerous times. Little did she know that her parents were. Her parents were then captured and killed, when she was 9. Hotaru was devestated when she learned the truth about her parents and what they were. Hotaru had no place to go and hid in the woods afraid that she also would be killed. She was found by friends of her parents and they took her in and taught her their ways which happened to be similar to her parents. Slowly she was being turned into what her parents were. At age 18, Hotaru decided that she wanted to follow in her parents footsteps. She had seen how people who followed the Light treated people and decided she didn't want to do that. She was never told that being a darkfriend was bad, so it was the obvious choice. Hotaru went with her guardians to Shayol Ghul and there she swore to the Dark One to become a darkfriend. She hoped to one day hurt those who had hurt her when she was little. A year later she left her guardians and traveled around looking for a place to settle down. She goes through different places until she finds one that is a place where she can settle down and not be bothered.
