Mental and Physical Description:
Arklon is 6'1", weighs 21.5
stone (215 lbs. for those that don't know), has light brown eyes and
hair. His legs and broad shoulders, are both heavily muscled from years
of chopping logs for firewood (explained a bit more in his bio).

keeps himself wrapped tightly in his emotions of anger and guilt, but
rarely lets any of his emotions show through.
The only expressions you can ever pick up from him are; determination
in his training, a desire to always learn more, and ocasionaly happiness
when he stares into a woman's eyes.
Biography:
Arklon Mikal was born the son of two merchants, in the city
of Caemlyn. His father, Psy, was a skilled hunter and sold dried meats
in the market. His mother, Kathrine, was a well known herbalist in
their part of the city, who specialized in spices which she sold in the
market to accompany her husband's meats.
Arklon spent the majority of his youth hunting with his father and helping old mister Cutburn, a woodsman in the area, to chop his wood into logs of firewood which he in turn sold in the market as well. Arklon didn't have many friends, but he didn't mind. He enjoyed the work that he did, along with the four copper pieces that he earned each week.
As he entered his teenage years, he took on the task of chopping all of Cutburn's wood, rather than just helping him. The work helped to clear his mind and tone his body. He enjoyed being able to put himself into a rythem while he worked, the muscle that it helped him build, and the occasional attention from the few girls that lived in his area, that his muscles helped him to get.
However, after doing the same thing day after day for three years, and seeing no point or direction for where his life was going, he decided it was time for a bit of a change.
When he was 16, he decided that it was time for him to leave his home, explore the rest of this city he had grown up in, and venture out into the world.
He had always stayed in his little corner of the city, except for when he and his father went out to hunt, and had only been able to see the castle, up close, three times in his life. So that's where he decided to start his search.
Along the road, heading towards the castle, he saw a woman of such beauty, that when she looked at him and her eyes met his, he fell flat on his face because he had forgot to keep moving his feet. The woman laughed openly and walked towards him with a lovely smile on her face. She extended her hand, helped him to his feet, and said, "Hello, my name is Milly. Milly Rutnim, Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah."
He was stunned. He had never seen an Aes Sedai in person, much less actually meet one. It took him a moment before he could manage to speak, "...my nn-name is Arklon Mikal, Milly Sedai."
She giggled a bit at his stuttering, gave him another smile, said goodbye, and went on her way.
Arklon stood there watching her as she walked on towards the castle. As he watched, he noticed two dark figures walking slowly atop a roof of one of the houses. Thinking nothing of it, he glanced back towards Milly. He saw something fly towards her from the corner of his eye from the direction he had seen the men. Milly let out a scream and fell to the ground. Arklon looked back at the men, and saw that each of them had a bow. The second let go his arrow and Arklon watched it fly towards Milly, who lay unmoving on the ground, but still crying out loudly. He looked back towards the men and caught only a glimps as they quickly made their escape. Having no knowledge of fighting, he ran to see if there was anything that he could do for Milly.
As he reached her, he noticed that she was not moving at all, and she had stopped screaming as well. He rushed to her side, and as he reached her, he could see why. The first arrow had struck at the base of her neck, just beside her spine, and clearly severed it as it went through. The second arrow had gone just to the right of her left shoulderblade, between the ribs, and judging from how little of the arrow was still sticking out of her back, it had probably come out her front as well. He knew from hunting with his father, that any injury to the bones of the neck or back could easily dissable your ability to move, and could even kill. He dropped to his knees and looked at her face to see if she was still alive.
The life in her beautiful eyes was gone. Instead of the bright twinkling they held only moments before, they were dull and dead. He felt a sudden flood of emotion sweep through his body; anger at the killing of such a beautiful and innocent woman, fear that others like her would be killed as well, guilt that he had done nothing to stop it from happening, and sadness at seeing her go. The thought that he didn't have enough time or warning to have changed any part of the situation, only fueled his anger more.
He had heard stories from his mother of all the wonderful and amazing things that the Aes Sedai did, and could see no reason why anyone would want to kill one. Especially one as amazing as Milly.
The city guard soon arrived and asked what was going on and what had happened. After telling them the story and describing the men as best he could, which was very little, he was told to return to his home and let them take care of it.
When he reached his home, his mother asked him what was wrong. He told her the story, and surprisingly, she burst into tears when he told her Milly's name. Why is she crying?
As she finally calmed enough to talk to him, she explained that Milly was her aunt. It had been almost twenty-seven years since the last time she had seen her, but she had always been her favorite.
Finding that this beautiful woman was also one of his relatives, along with all the rest, filled him with enough anger that the other emotions simply melted out of existance. That anger lead him to change the course of his life. He made a decision that day.
He began talking to members of the Guard, and asking them to show him how to use a sword whenever they could spare the time. When he turned 19 he joined the Guard and learned what he could about any weapon they would teach him. The sword was the weapon he liked most, though his true skill lie in the bow that he had used so often while hunting with his father.
After three years with the Guard, he decided that he had learned enough to begin doing what he had planned since the day that Milly had been killed. He packed his few belongings, strapped his sword around his waist and his bow to his back, and headed for Tar Valon.
He was going to become a Warder and make sure that no harm ever came to an Aes Sedai again, so long as he could help it. He would not see another innocent woman, who lived only to help others, be killed for no reason at all. He would die before he saw that twinkle leave another woman's eyes.
Audition Piece:
Waking up two hours before training began, as he did every day, Arklon dropped to his knees in the center of his room and began to meditate. His daily routine during training, fifteen minutes of meditation, thirty minutes of exercise, another fifteen minuteso fmeditation, and then an hour of practicing his forms. Not to mention the four and half hours of practicing forms before he slept.
But today he was going to be sparring with Lexington Eelson. Lexington, or Lex as he was often called, was one of the few people that Arklon enjoyed sparring with. There was always somethign about him that always made Arklon try harder to hit him, something that always made him strive to give it his all. They fought with almost the exact style, and could go for hours on end before one would be able to score a single hit on the other.
But today, Arklon was determined to put him down within the first hour. Today Lex was giong to know which of them was better with the sword.
Arklon grabbed his shirt from the back of his chair, and headed for the training area. As usual, he was there before Lex. Ryman Greenbow, the Head Gaidin, was already there with a couple of of other students. Arklon saluted Ryman, "Gaidin Ryman, good morning to you, Sir."
Ryman nodded to acknowledge the salute, "Good morning Arklon. How are you feeling? Ready for your spar with Lexington?"
Arklon showed a bit of a smile at the last, "Feeling great, Master Ryman. I'm always looking forward to sparring Lex. Can't say I like the guy a whole lot, but he's the only one here, other than yourself of course, that always fills me with a desire to be better. In the four years that we've been here, we've sparred each other fifteen times. Each of us have won seven, and you split us up last time because you thought we would both fall over from exhaustion before one of us won....But today we break our tie, and I plan to put him down in less than an hour this time. Our shortest spar up until now lasted just over three hours. But today that's going to change." Arklon looks up at Ryman, "Don't get me wrong Master Ryman, I don't underestimate his skills at all, I know how good he is, I just know that I'm better, and I plan to prove it today."
Ryman looked at Arklon with a smile, "We shall see, Arklon." Ryman motioned for Arklon to look behind him.
When he turned to see what it was, he saw Lexington walking slowly towards the grounds. As usualy, Lex had his sly grin on his face, and he looked at the women that were watching as a snake would his prey.
Yeah, keep smiling you snake. I'll wipe that grin off your face.
Lexington waled tup to Arklon and patted him on the back, "Morning Arklon, ready for me to show you up again."
Arklon looked at Lex, stepped back and readied his practice sword, "Ready when you are, Lexington." And so it begins.
As usual, they both began in the same stance, left foot forward, right foot centered, weight eistributed evenly between them, with the sword held below their waist, with the blade pointing down. It was usually Lex that made the first move, but it was time for that to change as well.
Arklon took the first attack and went for Lex's knee, the attack was blocked easily, and they began making quick attacks here and there. Testing eachother's speed and strength. Attacks went back and forth, one at a time, for a while, before Lexington went in to a flury of attacks. Arklon easily blocked each of them and wondered if Lex had improved his skills at all since the last time they had sparred. They clashed their practice swords together and tested each others strength, then pushed apart and starred at each other.
"Shall we move on to some real fighting?," Arklon said with a grin on his face. Neither of them had even began to sweat, nor were either of them breathing any harder than normal.
Lex nodded his head, and Arklon charged towards Lex's week side with Lion on the Hill, and attack that he knew would be easily deflected, but it got him into position. He immediately flowed into Arc of the Moon, dropping to a knee and striking upwards from the right to the left, striking at Lex's stomach and chest. Once again blocked, though the look on Lex's face told him that he was a bit surprised at Arklon's change in tactics. I see you weren't expecting that either. How about this? Arklon then changed to Tower of Morning, sending several vertical slashes at Lex's waist, and moving up. Bringing his sword up over his head with the blade pointing at Lex's face, he makes a powerful stroke down and accross, again meeting only Lex's sword.
Jumping back a step and assuming the Leopard in the High Grass stance, as Lexington assumed Cat Crossing the Catwalk, "I see you've changed a bit, Arklon. I think you may actually be getting better...Now, Lets dance!"
Lex flows into Whirlwind on the Mountain, striking diagonally from Arklon's left knee, up towards his right shoulder. Arklon blocks with Cutting the Clouds, then decides against a counter as Lex flows into The Wind Blows Over the Wall, trying to strike him over his block, Arklon blocks once more with Moon on the Water, then goes for a counter-attack.
Flowing into Water Flows Downhill, Lex blocks and counters with Unfolding the Fan. Barely seeing the attack in time, Arklon drops and rolls on his left shoulder, bringing his blade up once again, in case Lex was stupid enough to charge him, which he wasn't.
Both men stood staring at each other, then Lex said, "You continue to surprise me Arklon, but you're still going to lose."
Arklon replies, "Then shut up and show me how it's done, Master Lexington." As with every other time that they had sparred, both stuck their practice swords into the ground, took off their shirts, then picked up the swords and assumed their stances once again. Both, now covered with sweat, smiling, and both ready to show the other who was best with the sword. The each formed Unfolding the Fan, and once more their swords collided with a loud crack, as they showed each other their strenght once more.
As usual, Lex broke the test of strength and flowed into The Falcon Stoops, meeting Dandelion on the Wind, met Kissing the Adder, met Bundling Straw. Lex dropped back a step to avoid being hit in the face, then attacked with The Cat Dances on the Wall, met by The Boar Rushes Downhill. Lex had to do a forward roll to miss having his face smashed in by the powerful stroke, and quickly went for a simple stab attack at Arklon from behind.
Expectin the attack, Arklon dropped to a knee, slightly to the left, pivoted up on his right foot, and attacked with Heron Wading in the Rushes, meeting Thistledown Floats on the Wind, met Parting the Silk, met The Wood Grouse Dances.
Arklon stepped back once again, took a single breath, and charged back with Twisting the Wind, met by Lex's Ribbon in the Air, met The River Undercuts the Bank, met by Dandelion on teh Wind, met by Cat on Hot Sand.
Lex immediately went to The Falling Leat, trying to take advantage of Arklon's position. Arklon had hoped that Lex would take the opportunity, dropped to the right and came up strong with Watered Silk, slashing Lex hard across the stomach.
Lex fell to the ground holding his stomach and trying to catch his breath. Arklon extended his hand, "You fought well Lexington Eelson."
Lexington looked up and painfully stood to his feet, "You were lucky boy. But you have gotten bett. Next time we well see who is truely the better between us." Lex took a deep breath, set his sword back on the rack, and headed off to find a Yellow Sister to make sure that he didn't have any broken ribs.
Arklon turned towards Ryman when he heard him speak, "Congratulations Arklon...fifty-four minutes, thirty seven seconds."
Arklon smiled widely, shook Ryman's hand, and went to sit for a while to catch his breath and cool down. He still had half the day to spend practicing, and today had turned out to be an excellent day. Arkon turned to look at Lex as he went to find the Yellow Sister. Until we meet again, Lexington Eelson.
