Biography:

Alden used to be very active and lively when he was little, at the age of around six. He and his street friends used to play together, running together in the street, playing all sorts of games. It was one of those cloudy days, and Alden was out running with his friends up the street from where he lived. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and he fell on broken glass that a shopkeeper was cleaning up. The fall had made the sharp glass on the ground pierce into his chest. The shopkeeper of the shop looked at Alden in horror as blood was slowly forming around the stationary form of Alden. The shopkeeper hurriedly picked Alden up with ease and places him on his back and ran with Alden’s friends giving the shopkeeper directions to Alden’s place as some of them went to ask the Mother (something like a Wisdom) to come and see to Alden. The Mother helped with Alden’s injuries. The wounds were stitched up, and over time Alden’s body has healed through a scar were left on his chest. den goes and read and learn things instead or doing active things outside. His scar still reminds him of what he had done when he was little. He looks at the scar every now and then. Ten years have pass and Alden knows that he will live with the scar until he dies.

It was around midnight when he heard his father come in one night not so long ago, rushing into the house and slamming the door quickly behind him. As his father ran to shock Alden awake, he was already awoken by a loud crash of from the door as it fell off its hinges. A man with a rather large size club advanced on Alden’s father. Alden, who doesn’t know why this stranger came into their house in the middle of the night, demand answers as to why he was there. The stranger had sneered his ugly smile as he told Alden that his father had owned him a silver penny. Alden’s father was weak and old of age and cannot fight the tough, muscular man who was holding the club. As the stranger picked Alden’s father up and move out into the streets, Alden’s anger had overcome him for the first time in his life. He then picked up his short bow leaning on the wall next to his bed.

Alden, quick as a flash, moved out onto the streets to follow his father and nocked the arrows he had brought out with him in a crudely made quiver. He shot an arrow, which pieced the man’s right shoulder, and the man dropped his father as they glare into each other’s eyes. People who live on either side of their shack had begun to come out to see what the commotion was about. Without even noticing the people who had began to gather around them. Alden notched another arrow and fired it towards the stranger without a pause, as he did so, he felt a strange sensation as his anger is forced onto the arrow as it was fired. The arrow hit the stranger in the other shoulder. The stranger curse and swore. He then suddenly began to scream in horror as he got up and with a frighten look on his face, then fled into the night.

Alden knew why the man screamed, but he doesn’t know how he did it. His anger had made the arrow grow hot and he knew that the arrow was burning flesh inside the stranger. He didn’t know how he did it, but he did it. Alden bend down to help his father up as the crowd parted to go back to sleep. Alden helped his father and went back into the house. Once they were inside, Alden went to the basin to get some water for his father to drink. As he gave his father the water, he noticed a woman by the broken door. She looked up at them and introduced herself as an Aes Sedai from the Shining Walls of the White Tower and has just seen what happened out there. She then asked him if he was interested to become a bonded warder to her at the White Tower with training with the other warders. Alden looked at his father and his father had nodded a yes in agreement. The Aes Sedai also gave his father enough coins to fix the door that was broken as she told Alden that they will leave at first light. Then the Aes Sedai left them. Alden had said goodbyes to his father, but being away is always painful. Yet he could not hide his excitement to go to Tar Valon and to the White Tower to study.

The Aes Sedai came to their shack right on the moment at first light. Alden said one last goodbye and turned his back on the place he was born and raised by his father. He then turns to follow the Aes Sedai away to learn about the world he had not known before.

Audition Piece:

Alden walked through the empty dark corridors of the White Tower. Walking in the shadows and out of the lights of the lited lamps along the walls, Alden slipped into the basement of the White Tower towards the door where the angreals and sa'angreals are kept. Getting the feeling that no one would come in and see him wandering along the basement corridors of the Whit Tower, he weaves a quick thread of Spirit and Fire together. A glowing red ball floated above Alden's open palm as Alden continue walking towards the door he intended to get to at all costs.

A sudden rush of wind burst forth so suddenly, Alden flew arcoss the corridor and crash right into the door as several angreals fell down near Alden because of the sudden impact. ALden grabed the nearest one to him as he clutch it tight in his fist.

"Why have you interfer with my plans? I have told you once. Told you twice. Oh but no, you have to come down to try to kill me. Then you will die today!" Alden regonises this voice, it belongs to his most trusted friend, Bob.

"Are you going to go over to the dark side already? Please Bob, I need you to let go of saidin." Alden clutch at saidin while the sweet power flows through him. "I don't want to-"

"Don't want to what!" Bob shouted at Alden, cutting him off. "You don't want to be dead? Well, too bad. I'm sick and tired of hearing: 'Oh Alden is so good at shielding! He's just that good. You should learn with him Bob, he's your friend afterall.' Bob imitated one of their teacher's voice, Connie Sedai. "Well, I don't want to follow your example! I'll blast you to pieces!" Alden saw that Bob had weave up a very intricate pattern of Fire.

Alden desperately weave out a shield of Water that should be strong enough to block the stream of Fire Bob will throw at him. Trying quickly o destract him while he quickly weaves his shield, he told Bob. "Bob, this doesn't have to end like this. Really it doesn't."

Bob was quick with a counter to Alden's words. "Really? Then why are you here? To kill me? Well, isn't that right? I'm going to kill you. Both of us can't live together in the same world. One of us has to die tonight and right here."

Bright red fire suddenly sprung out of Bob's hands. "Your precious shield won't block this!" Bob throws his hands towards Alden as a stream of red roaring fire is sent towards him. Alden is ready, he had already finished the shield right after Bob started talking, he had also made it stronger while Bob had been talking further. Alden released the shield as the fire came upon him. Thick Water streams flew from hsi hands and wind themselves together as a round shaped barrier of Water is formed between the raging fire and Alden. He then ties off the weave so that

Bob angered in further rage as the fire hissed out as it touch the Water shield Alden wove out. Bob concentrate all his power on the stream of fire as he wove mroe Fire into it. Slowly, the fire become hotter and hotter and begins slowly to break the shield.

Bob is so concentrated on breaking my shield, he'll never see this coming. Alden thought as he weave a shield with Spirit. Alden release, or rather, threw, the shield of thickly woven Spirit right at Bob. The block slid in place between Bob and saidin the moment it reached Bob.

Bob screamed in horror as the stream of fire stopped and died away. Alden then unpick his threads of Water in the shield with a way of his hand as the shield falls the the ground into a puddle of water.

Alden then tied the now helpless Bob with threads of Air and pin him to the wall.

"Bob, I'm sorry, but I don't know how to Gentle you or else I'll try, with angreals and sa'angreals I could I think pull it off and left you without the One Power. But I can't, so there. Tell me why and who you really are."

"I- I-" Bob seems to be lost for words but when Alden gave him a glare, he stops studdering and began his short story. "I am a Darkfriend serving The Dark Lord. I am suppose to kill off some of the Novices and Accepteds so that the Tower will eventually fall to pieces. I- I- I don't want to live! Please! Destroy me Alden, kill me!" Bob's eyes were filled with tears of sorrow. "Alden, I know we're friends, but you must kill me before one of the Forsakens reach me. I can't and won't stand the torture! Please Alden. I've betrayed you, your trust, played with your emotions and I call myself your friend. I'm no friend of yours, but do me a favour and kill me right here and right now. Alden, it has been fun knowing you. It's also been fun having you as part of my life. Please Alden." Bob is now sobbing openly.

"Bob, there's one thing I can do. I don't know where I leanrt it, but I can summon Balefire. I never use it against anything living before, and I've only used it once other time on a piece of rock on the ground. Balefire is extremely dangerous. I don't know but..." Aldenb trails off.

"Do it Alden! I'll rather kill by your Balefire then one of the Forsaken's power. Please kil me! I don' want to live no longer!" Bob nodded at Alden.

Alden release the Air that binds Bob and Bob sagged to the ground.

"Anything, for a friend." Alden told Bob as tears pour down from his eyes.

A blinding white ball appeared between Alden's hands as he threw the ball at Bob. As the ball of white hot flame hit Bob, Bob is burnt into a shadow as he is detroyed by Balefire. Destroyed in the Past, Present and Future.
