Role-Playing Novel
Introduction
When designing a character, there are many factors to consider. There are steps to help you design your character well. If you follow these steps in this particular order, it would be the fairest and honest way. If you are aware of how this work, there are ways to tweak the score a little bit to make sure you have a strong character, but those are not so honest. It really doesn't matter, as long as you do not cheat. You might say, "Well how can you cheat?" Think! I'm not going to tell you, but if you discover how I won't like you or your character. It is guaranteed! You can be honest, and you can tweak, but do not cheat!
Assign Attribute Scores
In this section, you will have 24 points to share among your Attributes. All atts start at 1 point in number rank. Make sure that when you are finished that the total from all att number ranks you made equals to 30. If no, then you need to use mathematics to correct your mistake. When the character request is submitted, this will be viewed and calculated. If it is wrong, your character will be rejected. Then you can start over or correct it. Every thing must be done right.
(Wis): Wisdom. This determines your awareness and understanding of life. It also measures your psyche.
(Int): Intelligence. This determines your comprehension of things, learning and retaining information.
(Cha): Charisma. This determines your social success, attractiveness, and likeability by others.
(Con): Constitution. This determines your durability, stamina, and essence as a person.
(Dex): Dexterity. This determines your agility, hand, foot, and eyes coordination.
(Str): Strength. This determines your physical power and speed.
Everyone starts off at Level One. When you gain enough experience points, depending on your class, you will Level Up.
Heath is important for combat reasons. To determine you health, multiply your (Con) x 10, and you will have you health maximum for this current level. Do not be surprised if the number is low. Not everyone has the same amount of life force in them. As a Role player, you should see this as a creative challenge and move on.
Think about what you want to be in this Virtual Life. Every race has an advantage and disadvantage. Some are complete with advantages. Some are not. Choose what ever interests you and do not be concerned about the modifiers.
You should look to see if your race has any modifiers. If you do, add them to the modifier fields that match the attribute they are for.
Now you can choose a class. Think about what it is you want to be, what you think will be fun to role-play. Then select it. You should be willing to play this class to the fullest. Have fun with it.
Each class has skills that are called abilities. These are preset for the class you chose. You can use these abilities without many problems.
You have 55 points to spend on extra skills. Pick what ever interests you, but be aware of the prerequisites. Not al skills are for everybody. Some you can get now, some you will have to work for, and some are just flat out expensive. Consider everything when picking these. The total points used to purchase skills should be equal or lower than 55.
The amount of money you have right now, besides any abilities that grant money, is determined by multiplying (Cha) x 100. You can use this to purchase equipment and weapons.
You don't have to buy anything, but you can. You will have to go to the store to buy what you need. Subtract the price from your total and place the sum of the money you have left in the field. Equipment or weapons bought should be written in the info box, along with their stats and modifiers, etc.
Think of a real person name for the character. If there is a nickname, you should have a good reason why. Please do not put stupid and inappropriate name like poet777, pussylicker, or 345. Be real and mature about it. Think of something creative and possibly related to the genre of this game. If you give a stupid name, you will be asked to change it or your character will be rejected. Determine the age and sex of your character. Then give a detailed description of how the character looks and acts. Do this to your liking.
Before submitting, think about what you created. Look to see if there are mistakes. If you change your mind about something, fix it. Just make sure your Character request is good to go. Don't be scared. Be courageous. Give it try. If it is rejected, try again.
This makes things a bit easier for beginning or experienced players. Instead of having to formulate all your attributes and other stuff, you can simply choose a Generation Palette, which has everything set up for you. You only need to find the right palette that fits you or your desire. For example, if you wonder how to become an 'Undiscovered Psi-folk,' you would simply choose that palette and add your modifications before submitting it. Sounds fair? Hope so. If this is not in your favor, then you can go back to the Original Character Generator and start from scratch. "Peace be with you."

This is actually an association here in Tetra Star. (We call it the 'Tetra Star RPN Association.') RPN as you know means 'Role-Playing Novel.' Here at Tetra Star we try to log everything that occurs in our channels/rooms. This is not to get people in trouble or any thing like that. We actually are documenting a history of what occurs in TS. Why? To make a timeline, to have a collage of historical events, etc. Ever wonder how out of so many people, only a few are remembered in history as 'greats,' important figures, and even heroes, or heroines? Well this is how. To be acknowledged as an important piece to the TS puzzle, you must agree to the rules and join the TS RPN Association. It is that simple. I won't lie to you. There is a catch to this. Don't worry it's not a bad thing. There is just a certain way of handling this without having any misunderstanding or problems.
