Teefa first enters the scene as an apprentice of Ariel's and given the task of accompanying Rooks to Balnia Temple. Showing herself to be a competent sorceress, she helps him to scale to the top floor in search of the spirits that were loosed...or so he thought. In reality, it was a trap so that she and Ariel could claim the Crystal Sword enshrined there and bring it back to Galneon. Paralyzing Rooks and helping her partner to attack him, she is driven off by the Sorcerer who acted as the blade's guardian...but not without the item she came there for.
While Ariel keeps coming around to give Rooks trouble, Teefa isn't talked about for awhile...until Salah reveals that Teefa is her missing sister. Not too long after that, Rooks teams up with Darwin and sets the princess free once and for all, leading to an opportunity for the girl to help stop the one who killed her father and enslaved her mind.
If any of this is answered in the Japanese version, seeing as my translation skills are pretty much nill so I can't check anything other than short phrases or single kanji that make sense in software, please float me a line so I can give a better answer.
Captured, but How?: How the heck did she end up getting caught by Galneon at all? Like Salah, Teefa was left in the care of someone else (in her case, Darwin). So what did she do, run off from him and get herself in trouble?
While that is a possible answer, there are others to consider. Darwin may have been with her, but they were attacked and she sacrificed herself to save him. Or, in a similar scenario, he was knocked out when they took her away. Then there's the possibility of her being caught when one of them was out shopping. I guess we'll never know.
