Level 3 JobsWell here we all are. The level 3 jobs. Requirements included w/ my oponion.

Monk
The Monk requires you to be a level 2 Knight. The Monk has amazing hand to hand combat skills. Thats why their ability is Punch Art. The skills you really need to learn are Wave Fist, Earth Slash, and Chakra. Wave Fist is good because it hits people at a distance for a good amount of damage. Earth Slash goes 4 directions 8 panels. It does lots of damage, which is a good thing. Chakra is probably the best of the Monk skills. This is because it restores HP and MP to the Monk and units within one square of him. Some problems with the Monk is that they cant equip weapons, head protection, or heavy armor. This brings their HP lower than most attack job classes. I think that the Monk is the best middle of the game fighter. Mainly because they have close and long ranged attacks. I suggest getting a Monk and traing him a lot so as to have the abilities as a secondary action. |
Thief
Level 2 Archer. Thief is one of those jobs with some of the best abilities, but horrible stats. Its ability, Steal, is awesome because you can steal anything that the enemy has equiped. This nice for the Elmador battle in Chapter 3 so you can steal his Gengi equipment. Another thing a Thief can do is get the support ability, Secrect Hunt. GET THIS ABILITY!!!!! This is the ability that makes so when you kill an monster with that person, you get the monsters skin. You can then later go to a fur shop and get items at a lower price for the items that you got from poaching. The only good stat about this job class is that it raises your speed. Other than that it has horrible stats. Low HP, MP, and attack power. The Thief is something you will definatly want to get in the beggining. But just get one for the abilities. Then get rid of him. |
Oracle
Priest Level 2. The Oracle is your status effect guy. He can cast blind, zombie, etc. The Oracle has two awesome spells. Dont Act and Dont Move. These are quite helpful for killing enemys. Other than that most of his spells aren't very good. He can equip many types of weapons. The best of these are probably the sticks. This is because the sticks have a 2 panel attack radius. So if you want a magic user for the front line, this is probably your best bet. I never really used a Oracle. I always thought that they were a waste of time. If you want to try it, go for it... |
