Level 2 Jobs

Level 2 Squire

The Knight is the best of the level 2 fighters. Knights obviously have a HP because of his ability to equip heavy armor. They also have a strength bonus. This mainly because they were ment to use the, get this, Knight Sword. Whoa, thats a surprize. Generally, Knight Swords have a greater attack than the knives that Squires use.

The Knight abilities are awesome. They are able to break enemy armor, shields, and swords. This is very helpful if you want to make it so enemy Knights can't defend or do heavy damage with their swords. Overall, the Knight is best close range fighter of the Level 2 Jobs.

Level 2 Squire

Archers are one of the first classes that can attack from a distance. This is a BIG help in your attack plan. Their special ability is charge. It is okay if the enemy doesn't move out of range while you are charging. You have to be able to use the AT screen to use this effectivly. Another down note is that they can only attack as far as they can shoot their bow. Crossbows can't shoot over things either. Thats why you need to wait untill you get a real bow instead of a crossbow to have a effective archer.

I didn't really use this as I went along in the game, because later get can get guns, which shoot farther and do better damage. Archers are nice to have in the beggining, but later they just suck.

Level 2 Chemist

As I pointed out earlier, Chemist is the magical way. Well, here is your first magic. CURE!!! Cure is the most important spell a Priest can learn. Sure Holy does a lot of damage, but is it when you can't heal yourself. LEARN CURE. Cure 3 is good if you have a lot of MP and your Faith is high. Then you can cure lots o' people. Holy is good if you have A LOT of MP and good magical damage stats. Esuna is also very good if you know what it does. It cancels the majority of the status effects.

Priests can be one of the most effective units in the game if you can work them well. They can also do big damage with Holy if you get. So get a Priest.
