So, you want to know about me, hmm? Are you quite certain? Very well...make yourself comfortable and I shall tell you what I care to about myself... My beginnings are an enigma, even to myself....I have rememberances of being a young man, rather intelligent with an inquiring mind, intensely interested in vampires, magick, alternative healing and the nature of Deity. Other aspects of my life at that time continue to come and go, despite my efforts to remember them. My last memories of this time are a jumble of phantom images, tangible enough to see but not enough to grasp..... candlelight.... incense.... meditation.... mystical symbols.... an "out-of-body" experience, if you will. Thus ends my recollection of my past. My present begins in this time and place, whenever and wherever this is, for I know it is not my own. All I know is that I "arrived" here somehow, much the worse for wear, and that I was not nearly the same as before. You see, I was not always 6 foot 4, I did not always have long snow white hair, nor did I have eyes the color of amber. And most importantly of all, I most certainly did not have jet black skin. As you can imagine, all of this came as a great shock to me. I do find it rather amusing that traditionally vampires are said to be very pale, and I have ebony skin. Yes, I said vampire...I am a creature of the night, and I sense there is more to me than I have yet discovered. There is also my staff......I know not how I came to posses it, and I am reasonably sure I haven't discovered all of its powers either. I do know that it can heal with a simple touch, and that it also seems to drain the very life energy from anyone it touches, seemingly dependent upon my will at the time. It also changes into my raven familiar, whom I have named Poe. I have been somewhat successful at mentally shaping it into any weapon or object that I can call to mind. As it is, there are two slightly curved blades, one in each end, that spring out when needed. As I had said, I am not nearly the same as before, and this extends to my capabilities as well as my appearance. I do possess the "typical" vampiric abilities, i.e. heightened senses, strength, quicker reflexes, shape-shifting (my favorites being a timber wolf, a raven, and when Im in a particular mood, a stereotypical gargoyle). Im able to levitate and float/fly at will, and I am able to vanish and reappear at will. I am also capable of detecting and reading others "auras", if you will, and am somewhat adept at telekinesis. And there is also Magick, which I have learned and will continue to do, thanks to certain persons... Of course, none of this would be as it is if not for the good graces of the Shadow Rulers Clan. How they found me or why they took me in I will never know, but if it wasnt for them, who knows what might have happened to me. Although their ways were at first strange to me, I soon came to not only understand, but to feel like I had always belonged. I was also given the great honor of being named Queens Advisor, a position I do not take lightly. Since I joined the clan, we have had many adventures, not the least of which was the founding of our own Land. I have also loved and lost a few times and had a few differences with my son Jacob, but for the most part I have enjoyed my time here. I have sworn my life, loyalty, and honor to the Clan, and will do my utmost to make it as strong as it can be. What the future holds for myself and the Clan, only time will tell....... | |||||||||
