Movement on the overworld is another rather simple subject. While on the overworld(or
in a dungeon), you can only move one square per turn(Unless you have an airplane, covered in
chapter 14). However, while on terra firma, you have to roll one die twice-the first determines
if you get a random monster attack, the second roll determines the number of enemies in the
attacking party. The number that causes a random monster is decided at your narrator's
discretion. That's right, wise guy, HE gets to pick the number. He also gets to pick what
monsters are in the attacking party, as long as the monsters roam the selected area(Check the
monsters section in each mission if you're unsure).
Another quick thing to mention-the grid map uses an abberant coordinate system:0,0 is
the top left corner, not directly in the middle.
That's all there is to basic movement...advanced stuff, on the other hand, is covered
in chapter 14. Yes, these two chapters could have easily been combined into one bigger chapter,
but that'd spoil all the fun, wouldn't it?
