Background Story: Madison Ivery, as a girl in her early teen years, thrived on the stories that the elders of the Native American village told. It was the kind that boosts the imagination of young children. One story, in particular, interested her. The tale began similar to her own. -----A young boy, not too long ago, came to a nearby tribe that was on the brink of war. He stayed and helped them to fight. Since the tribe was a peace bearing civilization, knowledge of weapons was absent. They never before had to prepare themselves against invasions. It never occurred to them. Soon it came down to the last measly battle, with a ratio of 160 tribe members to 64 invaders. The young boy left them to defend themselves, after confirming the readiness of the tribe. He then ventured into the world, well compensated by the chief. ----Madison designated her quest for life to find the young hero of the story, the first time she heard it. From then on she apprenticed under the tribe's witch doctor and learned how to use the magic she was born with. Eventually she passed them up, as their power was in healing and hers was pure magic. No one knows exactly how she acquired the skill because she was brought to the village as a joyous baby. She soon grew up and decided to be a tomboyish girl. She explored caves, made tools, and learned to defend for herself, unlike most of the women of the tribe. She wasn't afraid of getting dirty or what she might run into in the dense woods. The tribe raised her and helped her to feel at home. Eventually, her skin tanned to match that of the tribes, because in all honesty, she was not a Native American. After she turned 15, she turned to the roles of the hunters. She hunted for 2 years, before they told her of her history. When she found out, she set another quest, to find where she belonged.
