SMRPG- walkthrough chapter three

Pipe Vault

1. An optional area...

THAT'S RIGHT! This area is 100% OPTIONAL!! You can just skip it if you don't want to go to Yo'ster Isle.

2. Goomba Thumping...

The enemies here are FAR from hard (most come from the BEGINNING OF THE GAME!), but if you go down the 4th in a series of 5 pipes, you can play goomba thumping.

3. How to get the Frog Coin from underneath the ledge..

In the 2nd in that SAME series of 5 pipes mentioned above is a kind of treasure room. You will also find a frog coin under a ledge. To get it, make a running start, and push down on the control pad when you've about hit the wall.

Yo'ster Isle

1. Talk to Yoshi

If you've tried talking to the other dinosaurs, you find that you just can't understand them... You must find the GREEN dinosaur, Yoshi. He'll be your translator

2. Get some cookies, challenge Boshi

To get the cookies, you should talk to the yellow dinosaur towards the back of the screen. Then, head towards the bottom of the screen, where the purple dinosaur (Boshi), is standing in the shade. Challenge him to a race.

3. Mushroom Derby

The winner of this race gets the respect of all Yoshis on the isle. If Yoshi wins, then all the dinosaurs can race together...
The game function is not-so-simple, however. Alternate between the A and B buttons WITH THE BEAT to run (the faster you alternate, the faster you run)...however if you're NOT on the beat, then Yoshi will simply jump up. To speed up, use a cookie with the "Y" button.

Moleville & Coal Mines-3

1. Enter the shop at the bottom-left corner...

You will need to buy some items in the shop...buy all the weapons you can AND 3 pairs of Work Pants, which raise offense and defense power...if you like extra power, then I recommend keeping the Work Pants on until Nimbus Land.

2. Enter the cave

The first time you come here, you'll see Bowser out in the field beside the mines, with all but a few of his allies gone...he is trying his FINAL mission to save his castle. 
Anyways, after you see that sequence, enter the cave. The moles will ask you to help them and to jump on their shoulders.

3. Jump on the trampoline, loose the coins

Where you see the median with two paths going in seperate directions and a trampoline, you need to jump on the trampoline. Croco will steal your coins. Chase after him...until his flunkies hide and you see him pass by from time to time...you can find & fight the flunkies if you want some coins and 3 flower tabs, or you can just run into Croco when he passes by.

4. Mario v. Croco II

This time, it's a little more difficult. If you're going to use items, use them at the first of the battle as he takes them later. Defeat him and get a bomb.

5. Find Pa Mole

To find Pa Mole, you need to head upward...keep on heading through the door at the top until you can go no farther. Then, go in the door to the right, and find a big room where Pa Mole is tryin' to figure out how to open the blocked passageway. Talk to him, and he'll use the bomb.

6. Fight Punchinello

An angry and distraught Punchinello awaits you not to far beyond where the bomb was used. To fight him, you must approach him from behind. After you beat him and the big bomb blows up in his face, you've received the 3rd star piece.

7. Rescue Dyna and Mite, go on a Mine cart ride!

In the next room after beating Punchinello, you find Dyna trying to push a cart. You help her, and YOU'RE OFF ON THE RIDE!!!

The first part of Moleville Mountain is in a 3D (Mode 7) perspective. You jump up by pressing "B", and get mushrooms. To use the mushrooms, press X, and press A or Y to accelerate. 
After the first part, you'll go through a 2D stage, then back to Mode 7, and finish it off with 2D. Congratulations!! You've just rescued Dyna and Mite, as well as getting a star piece!
