Physical Description: Tall for a female hobbit at 3'6", pleasantly round, with green eyes, tanned skin and sunbleached light-brown hair.

Weapon(s) of Choice: Frying pan, bare fists if that's not available.

History: Born to a middle-class family of good social standing, Rosie was a mostly typical hobbit, until she met Merry Brandybuck, who would often visit the Green Dragon Inn where she worked. Through him, she learned a great deal more about hobbit society than she ever cared to know at the time. They courted for a while, but her father didn't really approve of him. Her love interest of many years is Sam Gamgee, and it's pretty much expected by the folks of Bywater and Hobbiton that they marry. When Frodo and company begin their quest, she follows them, then realizes too late that they're leaving the Shire and loses her way back home and ends up in Rivendell a day or so behind them.

Relationships: Daughter of Tolman and Lilly Cotton, younger sister to Tom Cotton, good friend and sometimes lover to Merry Brandybuck, friend to Sam Gamgee, acquaintance of Pippin and Frodo.

Objective: To get back home alive and in one piece.
