Atziluth and the Angelic Choirs

Hi, it's me again, Zaphikel. Now I'll try to explain my home a lil more to you. Please, sit back and enjoy my lesson....

Atziluth, the Realm of Heaven, where the angels do live. Forget that stuff about clouds, okay? This world is just as modern as your world, if not even more. We also do bring some stuff from Assiah, your world my dear humans, to Atziluth, if we do like it very much...like the CD with the most beautiful Disney Songs I bought last year....

We have strict rules here in Atziluth. One of the rules that are broken most is the rule of having children. Angels are "born" planned, and not born from the act of desire....children of two angels are called I-Children (Improper Children). They have to live in Shamim, the Skid Row of Heaven....

Well, the parents of these children are usually sentenced to death....well, we have strict rules here......We have our own feared prison, the "Mid-air Corridor". This is a place nobody likes to go to. Here they also do the "Wing-cutting". Wings are the nerve center for angels and the place where they feel the most pain. When the wings are cut off the angel loses all astral power. With the loss of astral power the body loses all defense towards external infection and starts to rot. The angel gradually rots until it reaches the brain and wander as a deformed shape. In the end they turn into ghouls. You can imagine this is not much fun.....*shiver*

Well, to something that does not make me feel sick, okay? The gates of Atziluth are guarded by the Zodiac Angels, 12 Angels who are powerful Magicians. They are: Malahidael, Asmodel, Ambiel, Manuel, Verchiel, Hamaliel, Zuriel, Barchiel, Advachiel, Hamael, Canbiel, Barchiel. The Enoch branded on their body is required to open the gate.

Enoch is the language and writing of the angels. I can read it by touching it. We angels can go through the gates, for they let us pass without problems. Others have to show they are worth it...

And now I'll tell you about the Angelic Choirs.

We have the Academy here in Atziluth where the young angels learn everything they need to know. Hey, it's military here...

They all start as candidates for Angels. When they have done their exams and are Angels they can become Archangels. When they are Archangels, they can decide to which choir they would like to go. But the higher they want to come, the more they have to do...If you are an Archangel and want to go to the Choir of the Thrones, which is my choir, you have to come to me (or my assistant) and applicate for this. If I say "Okay, do the test" you can try out the Choir's test and when you succeed you are in. If not, back to school.....and try again next year....

The 9 Choirs are put in 3 Triads à 3 Choirs.

Grigol (Or more often Grigori):

The working class of angels, not belonging to the Choirs. They have no bodies anymore. Long time ago, they had children with humans. Those children were giants. The angels killed those giants but they bursted into evil spirits, that was the birth of the demons. To punish the Grigori and to prevent a thing like this, the bodies were taken from the Grigori so they now are only spirits.

Angels:

Like I said before, the lowest class of angels. They are kind of trainees...

Archangels:

They have finished schooling. Now, until they decide for another Choir, they do work as Archangels and have to do some lower jobs and have to watch over the younger trainees.

Principalities:

Welcome to the politics. The Principalities do most of the time observe the political actions is Assiah, what still is your world, dear humans. And they are the best political advisers here in Atziluth. If you like politics, go and talk to their leader, Sariel-sama. But be careful he is also in charge of the Mid-Air Corridor prison.....

Powers:

Here you have to be even more careful...the leader of the Powers, holding the titel of Great Powers, is the Fireangel, Mikhael-sama. Do never mention his size....never ever! Well, the Powers are the true army of heaven. They are the fighters. Mikhael-sama is known as the worst rowdy in heaven. So, if you'd like to go out and fight, try to join the Powers.

Virtues:

The Virtues are the fifth Choir of Angels, or the second choir of the second triad. Their leader, the Great Virtue Raphael-sama is the Healer of Heaven and the Windangel. The guy's a Ladykiller. The Virtues are those guys who do the medical jobs, the main research on this field and the field of biology. 

Dominions:

The Dominions are the architects of heaven. They make the plans, they watch over the work. Not quite my business. But the leader, the Great Dominion, Uriel-sama, is one of my best friends....what is difficult for he cut his own vocal cords and can't really speak anymore. But fortunately, he can speak in the mind of Raziel now. He spent a lot of time in the Hades, but now he has returned. He is one of the Great 7, the Earthangel and the angel of penitence and the dead and his wings are black. So, if you like houses, making plans and deciding about where to place a table, go to the Dominions.

Thrones:

The Thrones are my Choir. We are the Third Choir, or the third Choir of the first triad. I am their leader, the Great Throne Zaphikel. We are a kind of "Special Forces". While the Powers are the Army, we are more secret. We are the agents of heaven. You may call us "Spies", but we are much more. I would like to tell you much more, but I have to keep my mouth shut. All I can say that I'm searching for lost Holy Objects belonging to the angels, which were lost during the Great War.

Cherubim:

Okay, here they come....the Cherubim are the holders of knowledge and wisdom. They know all about magic and can use it....also black magic. The usual leader of the Cherubim is the Waterangel Jibril, one of the 7 Great Angels and the Great Cherubim. But she is in a kind of coma. Sevothtarte (Sefie-sama) then decided for another Cherubim to take the lead. His name is Dobiel.He is a jerk first class....sorry to say....always doing the dirty jobs for Sefie-sama. So, well, it is great to be a Cherubim I think, but not with Dobiel in charge....The Cherubim are the second Choir, or the second Choir of the first triad.

Seraphim:

The Seraphim are the First and highest Choir of the angels. The official leader is Metatron-sama, one of the 7 Great Angels, but for he is a child, Sevothtarte, Sefie-sama, took over the lead. Sefie-sama, well....I don't have much to say about him now....only that nobody ever saw his face....

Well, the Seraphim are the artists of Heaven, music, artwork everything creative is their job...and they do it good....

Organic Angel:

Alexiel-sama, the organic Angel, is the twin sister of Rosiel-sama. I do know both of them very well....but I will only tell you were she is at now. Her body is sealed in the Angelic Chrystal and her soul is condemned to be reborn in a human body to suffer a hard life, forever.....why, don't want to tell you....sorry......

Inorganic Angel:

Rosiel-sama, the Ruler of Atziluth, the highest Angel. He is called the inorganic Angel. During the Great War, he was sealed in the earth by his own twin sister, Alexiel-sama. But he was revived by his loyal servant, Cherubim Katan. Now he will again rule over Atziluth. 

Both, Rosiel-sama and Alexiel-sama were created by God. They hold great powers within them. 

Adam Kadamon:

His name is Serafita and he is the one being from the time where God had begun to create life. He is the first and the last Holy one. Has six wings and is neither a woman nor a man. Also has control over the ancient magic of time. His body is currently held captive and sealed in Atziluth's Tower of Creation, Etenamenki. He also is the one that blinded me....His power is neither black nor white. It's the only power that is like that. All other powers are black or white. And for that is the truth, no other power can break the spells of the one and only Adam Kadamon.

God:

No, I will not explain God to you....All I have to say is that he has fallen into a deep sleep......
