Rules
Rules. Now, this is the part that will sometimes make people go 'aw!' and, sometimes, make them decide not to join. Well, don't worry, there won't be many restrictions. And no, right off the bat here, there are no boundries on age; I'll decide if you're mature enough for the rpg through the person you present to me through your words. This does not mean I will never turn away an application for age- I'm not going to have children the age of 10 running around. I just won't have a specific boundry set. Read through all the rules carefully! I know it looks like a lot, but trust me, its all very important- and no, I swear, there are not as many specifics as it looks like.
- No power playing/god moding. This means you can not post that you kill someone/injure somesone/anything else that someone might have been able to prevent. You are not almighty. You must post your attempts to hurt someone during battle, attempts. And no, you cannot just avoid a hit by saying *dodges it*. You have to describe how you avoid/block taking a hit. If you can't find a way to avoid it, then guess what? You take the hit. I'll be soft on this with those who first join, and if they go agains this rule, I'll explain to them what they did wrong. However, if it is repeated, and by someone who knows better, you're out. Bye.
- Ahem. There will be no pornographic images ever featured on this site, you hear? Now then, as of other means of offensive material in your writing, such as when two characters become a couple. Any sexual content must be kept in inside messages, and the curtain must be dropped before it gets too far. If you want more specifics on how far your allowed to go, feel free to email me or post on the OOC board. It can and will result in banning if it is out of hand, or is committed by you more then once. I also don't want, even when kept in inside messages, for there to be such things constantly taking place in this rpg. Let's keep this site respectable, please.
- Rude commentary. Thats right, this refers to all those magic four letter words that have a tendacy to offend people. They are allowed, but minimally. The reason they are allowed is because it makes sense with some characters' personalities for them to say such things- let's face it, some of the characters aren't going to be the type to say 'dang'. However, as this is, as of current, a lighthearted rpg, there will not be a lot of foul language used, and it should be IC. Think about how often a character in SM would cuss, ne? If its used alot, it looses its meaning. It should be rare. Now, I can understand when we're all going nuts on the OOC board with whatever suger highs we may currently be on if someone says 'hell' or something silly like 'hot damn' (o_O;), but I imagine it is fairly simple to avoid the 'f-word' around here, eh? And never, whether its IC or not, will you cuss someone out. Its not needed. Its not respected. And quite frankly, c'mon, you've got better taste then that. I'm sure you can insult someone pretty bad without using those words, right? Good ^_^.
- Shonen/Shojo Ai. For those who don't know, that means same sex couples. Are they permitted? Yes. Love is love, silly. And in this alternate universe, there is nothing wrong with a boys hooking up with boys nor girls hooking up with girls; I personally think Haruka and Michiru are adorable.
- Stumbling upon all-powerful magic items, having bad guys come after your character, making your character the focus of the rpg, blah blah blah. Ever notice that lot of times in rpgs, everyone tries to make their character the main character? Even in their senshi names, such as people trying to join as 'Sailor Neo-Moon' or 'Sailor Silver Moon' and so on and so forth. Well, in this, I control the events that take place in the storyline, and I'll be sure to dish out a peice of the drama to everyone. So please, please, do not try to make your character the focus. At different times in the rpg, I will make certain characters focused on more depending on their role playing ability, and how active they are in this rpg. There is nothing more annoying then waiting forever for someone to respond to your post.
- Activeness! How could I forget about this one? How Active you are refers to how often you post. I Expect the players here to be very active. You should be posting at least once a day- thats not too much to ask, now is it? Now, I understand some people will randomly have computer problems, and trust me, this is understood. If someone misses posting a day, I'm not gonna flip my lid. I may not even notice. I will, however, undoubtedly notice if your gone for three days or so(don't get me wrong, I'm not looking to bust anybody- I'll miss you!). And I'm sure the players in this rpg will notice as well. If you just became too busy, then explain so on the rpg as soon as you can, and I'm sure everyone will understand; I know I will. If your going through some major computer problems, try to get to a school computer or a friends computer and post on the OOC board about it or email me. We're all friends here, s'ok. Just don't forget about us, we love you.
- There isn't a limit on how many characters you join as, but I highly suggest you keep the number fairly low. You'll be expected to keep each character equally as active; if you find yourself slacking off as one, it will affect the players who are really involved in that character. A limit of two characters is suggested, at most three. If you can handle more then that, and do so, I certainly won't be complaining, so don't worry about it.
- You are not, listen carefully, are not allowed to post on any of the boards (except the OOC board) until I reply to you telling you that your character has been accepted. This rule is rather self explanitory.
- That's it for now, the end of the rules. This last tid-bit is very important, so listen closely. I know it was annoying to read through all that, so I'm going to be sure I know who actually took the time to do it- that's right, your patience will be rewarded. When you send in your join form, make sure that in the subjuct it says 'stardusted'. Do not forget! It's very important! Write it on your hand if you have to! Now then, without further adieu, let's go roleplay!
