Submission Guidelines

Firstly, if you're willing to take some of your own time to write questions for me, thanks! I can only write so many myself, so the more I get from other people the better the trivia will be. However, I request that you follow the below guidelines to ensure that I don't have trouble adding them and to make sure you don't spend time writing a question that will just be rejected.

Currently, I am only taking up to 20 questions per game. Please check the list of what games have already had questions written for them before writing any yourself. I will try to update that list every day. If you write questions for a game that already has 15 questions, they will not be accepted until perhaps after the limit has been raised for a future session.

I've removed the above rule, because basically what was happening was that I was simply increasing the "limit" by 5 each game. Instead, simply send me 5 for each game you write for. That's it. The below rule applies if several people send for the same game, but basically, just send me 5 per game.

Furthermore, while I am currently only using new questions to play in each session, I need to keep some balance in. If I write and use 5 new questions for a game because that's all I can include because the game already had 15, and someone else gives me 20 for another game that didn't previously have any, I'm obviously going to have to put some balance in. Therefore, while I will store up to 20 questions for each game, I will only use 5 new questions for any given session.

Obviously, the questions must be for RPGs, and to avoid argument they must be for games that are clearly RPGs, not games like Zelda. In addition, try not to send me questions for games that none of the players will have played before - I may only be able to take up to 5 or so questions for such games.

I will not take any questions that spoil the storyline of the game in question.

Try to write questions that have a large number of possible answers, but only one correct answer. Questions that have a small number of possible answers (such as questions with numerical answers) are allowed, but I'd prefer it if they weren't the majority of the questions. Questions with more than one correct answer (unless one answer is much more obviously correct than the other, for example Alexandria Castle over Alexandria) will not be accepted. If possible, eliminate all the answers but one by making the question say something like "Other than (other answers)....". If a question requires an ordered list of answers, make sure to tell the players what format to put them in (usually including something like "put a space between each answer" will be fine).

When you write your questions, make sure you write them in the correct format. This format is:

Game - Question*Answer

Don't put a question mark at the end of the question (the bot will do this automatically) and try not to include any special symbols in the answer other than dashes or percent signs. For instance, plus signs in the answer are known to cause problems. Obviously, don't put any extra asterisks in the question or answer.

Got all that? Good. Email all questions to me at:

Please include the word "trivia" in the email subject.
