There
are several different types of fairies. The most common of these are the fay,
who are the enchanters and have magical powers, the monstrous fairies who are
known for their shape-shifting abilities and their ability to interfere with
humans, nature fairies, who are spirits of the elements, and the fairy folk,
who are the most common of the fairies, who spend their time feasting and dancing.
Fairies can be friendly to people, or unfriendly, and there are some who will
not have anything to do with their human neighbors. They are usually mischevious
creatures, who see nothing wrong with playing tricks on the Big People.
