The centaur comes from Greek mythology. These creatures, man from the waist up and horse from the waist down, walked both sides of good and evil. One of the most famous centaurs, Chiron, was a healer and the teacher of heroes such as Hercules and Jason. Other centaurs, however, had reputations as being cold, nasty beings prone to drink and destruction. It was centaurs that taught Greek warriors to use a bow and arrows; good and bad centaurs alike were known for being powerful warriors.
