First, my disclaimer is that most of these questions are from one of those email questionaires that circulate; you know, the ones that you get a hundred times but fill out anyway then send on. Come on, admit it.
Q: Which card in a standard deck
of cards describes you best?
A: The Jack of Hearts.
Q: What are you listening to right
now?
A: Aerosmith, Cryin'.
Q: How many pets do you have?
A: Currently a cat (Neon, who is also one of my best friends), twoRussian
dwarf hamsters (Myshka & Eskarina), and two fish (Fishy-Fish and Fish,
cause if I give them real names they die).
Q: What book are you reading now?
A: George R.R. Martin, A Song for Lya.
Q: What is on your mouse pad?
A: Terry Pratchett's Death on Binky (With many thanks to the guy who got it
for me!)
Q: What is your ideal car?
A: 1969 Chevelle-- Dark red,
black racing stripes, and leather interior. Can't beat good old American muscle
cars.
Q: What's the first thing you think
in the morning?
A: Damn, not another day.
Q: What's your zodiac sign?
A: Scorpio, and I'm a damn good one, too.
Q: If you could have any job, what
would it be?
A: Author. If all these crappy novelists can make it, why can't I?
Q: Is the glass half empty or half
full?
A: Not only half empty, but it has bullet holes in it and is draining fast.
Q: If you could live in any time
period, when would it be?
A: The Middle Ages-- in Camelot. But only if I get to be a knight.
Q: If you had a theme song, what
would it be?
A: Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird, or Tears for Fears' Shout.
Q: What is your favorite CD?
A: Aerosmith's "Nine Lives" or "Just Push Play"... or
U2's "All That You Can't Leave Behind"
Q: What fictional character do
you identify with most?
A: Arthur Dent, from Douglas Adams's Hitchhiker's Guide series. He's in a
completely foreign environment which he does not understand, surrounded by
people who make absolutely no sense whatsoever, with no basis on which to
ground decisions, and there is a pronounced difficulty in getting a decent
cup of tea. Or Pratchett's Rincewind; I completely understand the feeling
that bad things are bound to happen, and I know what it's like to deal with
people from the likes of Twoflower to the head of the Assassin's Guild. Or
Pippin from Lord of the Rings. He's not entirely sure what's going on, but
he gets pulled into trouble
and he rarely manages to do anything right...
and it seemed like a good idea at the time...
Q: What is the scariest thing you've
ever done?
A: Leave everything I knew behind to go to college 350 miles from my home
and my cat.
Q: If you could change one thing
about your body, what would it be?
A: I would want wings. Not
cheesy wings, but really cool angel wings. I wouldn't necessarily want to
be able to fly or anything (I'm not THAT weird ;-) but black, mother-of-pearl
wings.
Q: What is on your computer desktop
wallpaper?
A: One I made myself, U2.
Q: What are the first and last
concerts you went to?
A: Rolling Stones, Bridges to Babylon, and Aerosmith, Just Push Play.
Q: What TV shows did you watch
as a child?
A: Knight Rider, The A Team, Dukes of Hazzard, M*A*S*H.
Q: How are you most self-disciplined?
A: Never pick up something that looks perfectly comfortable on the floor,
never do today what you can put off until tomorrow, the dirty dishes can wait,
and dust can be ignored.
Q: Do you sleep with a stuffed
animal?
A: Four stuffed tigers: Zeus, Eliot, Castor, and Pollux, and a penguin.
Q: Do you know how shrunken heads
are shrunk?
A: Yes.
Q: If you could chose, who or what
would you be reincarnated as?
A: Probably a cat; as long as I could be a spoiled one like mine.
Q: Tarot cards: real or not?
A: I think they're real in the sense that the interpretation might get you
to think about some things in your life differently than you might have thought
before. Sometimes a new point of view is a valuable thing.
Q: Do you smoke or drink?
A: Nope.
Q: What is on your favorite coffee
mug?
A: Harry Potter, or my new Scorpio one.
Q: What is the best piece of advice
you've ever received?
A: To do what you know you
have to, and to not be afraid of it-- from my parents. Not to get so focused
on the future as to miss the present---Peter. And, to not be afraid of being
happy--- thanks Peter.
Q: What is the most important thing
in life?
A: Family, friends I can trust, and love.
Q: Ever been in love?
A: Am now.
