As much as people hate rules, these rules have been made to make sure that everyone enjoys this game. Doubtless, you have most likely seen these rules, or ones very close to these in other games. If you join this game, you have already made it clear that you will follow them, and understand the consequences if you break them.
Please do not give us a hard time over these rules. And if you recieve an email warning you that you’ve broken one, please don’t email us back complaining about it. We consider that harassment, and won’t have a problem putting you on moderated status.
1. The number one rule of this game is to have fun. Once you start not having fun, Role Playing just loses its purpose.
2. Don’t insult anyone in the group please! They’re here to have fun, and don’t need to be put down because you don’t like something about them. If we do see this in the group, we won’t hesitate to call you up on it, and place you on moderated status. If you continue to set forth in the annoyance of bashing players (on or off list) you will be kicked from the group. No questions asked.
3. All characters are subject to moderator approval. When you joined you recieved an email giving you the basic bio format. Please follow this. You can add onto it. But please don’t leave things empty. If you have problems filling out the form, email one of the moderators, and they’ll be happy to help you.
4. When making your character, please don’t make them superheroes, or aliens from outter space. This is a realistic RPG. When chosing a picture for your character profile, please use a real celebrity. No drawings, anime, stick people, statues. Like we said before, this is a realistic RPG.
5. If you’re going to be gone from the game for any amount of time please let the moderators now. It’s only common sense to know that we will notice inactivity on your part.
6. Please try to post atleast twice a week, if not more. If we don’t see a post from you for over a week, we will contact you and see what’s going on. If it goes on for another week your characters will be put on hold, and the people you were in a thread with will be allowed to move their characters on. If you don’t post for a third week your characters will be put up for adoption.
7. Please note that once you submit a character to Remember Me Tomorrow, it is owned by the group. If you leave the group for any reason, your characters will remain here and be offered to someone else.
8. This is a PG-15 game. That means no excessive violence and or sexual encounters. While we know some of you do enjoy writing those type of scenes out, please remember we have younger members. If you do wish to RP one of these types of scenes out, please do it in style and keep it toned down in the group.
9. No one-liners!! If you can’t type out a carefully thought out post that has 3 or more paragraphs, you have no buisness being in this group. Even if you’re character is just laying in the grass, they still have eyes to see things with, and a brain that thinks things, and a body that feels things. Don’t ever be afraid of being too detailed!
10. Your character is not a psychic on some hotline and can NOT read other characters minds. We can not stress this enough. Though your character might be able to pick up on some body language, this still does not mean your character just “knows” what the others are thinking.
11. You can NOT control anyone else’s character. That means in ways of reactions to your own character, or to make them go with your character somewhere. It is, however acceptable to say something like; “ Jane” dragged “Mary” down the hall. But remember the other player has the oppurtunity to react to that. If you wish to “control” someone else’s character, please contact them privately and set something up, either them allowing you to borrow the character or the two of you coming up with a joint post.
12. Your character is not Multiple Man/Woman, and can not be in two places at once. If you want to post with someone else, finish the thread you’re in before jumping into another scene.
13. If you’re in a thread with more than one character, please follow an unspoken RPG ettiquite. Go in Order. Say there’s a thread with Bobby, Billy and Sally. Bobby starts, Billy responds, and then Sally. Please try to stay in that order, and don’t skip over characters.
14. Write your posts out in the third person, past tense. Write it like you would a book. “Carrie glanced around, her eyes large in wonder. She couldn’t believe that the rain had actually let up! Grinning, she lifted her head, allowing the sunshine to beat down gently across her face.”
Please go through and delete the explanations, (all that which is in brackets like this) as you create your profile. If you have any questions at all, you need to only contact the Moderators of RMT, and we will be more than happy to help you out. Character Pictures must be included when submitting a profile, and keep in mind that Anime, sketches, or personal photographs will not be acceptable. All Characters do require approval before they can be played, this is merely to make sure that we don't have any double ups (i.e. Names, Celebrity Look etc) or other minor problems before you get started on RMT. When you have completed your character, please send it here. for approval by the Mods & Owners. Once your characters has been approved and added to the RMT Website, you may begin playing on the RPG board.
For the time being we ask that you take at least one of the premade characters before you create a character. You can look at the available characters here.
Full Name: (First & Last Name - Include Middle Names if applicable. There can be no repeat of names in RMT RPG, so if you know there is already a Chris, then please do not call your character Chris. This goes for last names as well. Middle names can be repeated.)
Age: (Self explanatory.)
Appearance: (At least one good paragraph please. Explain not only their look, but their style as well.)
Personality: (At least one good paragraph please. Keep in mind that nobody is perfect. Character flaws make for interesting Characters.)
Family: (Who are the immediate family members? how old are they, what do they do etc)
History: (At least one good paragraph please. What have they been doing until now? And if they are realted to any other character that is taken please look at their bios and try to tie yours in with theirs.)
Job: (There are a number of places to work at in Los Angeles. You may choose a job at one of these places, but it needs to be approved by a moderator. We obviously can't have everyone working at the Radio Station.)
Vehicle: (Rather self explanatory, keep in mind however, if you aren't extremely rich, you are hardly going to be driving a Porsche)
