Appearance: Grace, in it's correct term is a word that can rarely be used to describe many women, but Joanna has it in abundance. She may not shower herself in jewels like her brothers new wife, but the way she carries herself screams 'money'. She has delicate features, and a body that wears clothes as well as they were designed for the catwalk. Joanna prefers to dress down, quite content in jeans and a sweater and it is only on rare occasions (Or when sufficient pressure is applied by her brother) that she will actually dress up. By choice she has the ability to blend in to the crowd, but there is a certain something that most find intriguing.

Personality: It is with a quiet determination and strong sense of responsibility that Joanna has been able to give most of her own life to be there as an Aunt, and more-so substitute mother for her nieces and nephews. Through the influence of the woman that she believes to be her mother, Joanna developed good morals that are scarcely seen amongst the members of the Litrell family. She has a softer side that could almost be described as nurturing, and a well developed need to protect her loved ones. It's when somebody she cares about is hurting, or something that she cares passionately about is being compromised that the well perfected stubborn and sometimes hot-tempered Litrell streak shines through. She is a defensive person by nature, especially when it concerns her private life, and it would take a determined person to break through to the real Joanna Litrell.

History: Joanna was raised as the youngest daughter of Declan Litrell Sr. Younger sister to Declan Litrell Jr by some 21 years. She has no idea that her entire life has been based on lies and deceit. Joanna, is after all, not Declan Jr’s baby sister, but his daughter. The product of an affair that Declan Jr had with a young High School Student who was only 15 years old at the time. When Declan Sr discovered that the teen was pregnant, and too far along to have it terminated, he began to arrange for the not yet born child to be adopted out. He would have carried out this act, if his wife, Louise Litrell hadn’t begged him to keep the child in the family. She had longed to have a daughter, and could no longer have any more children. After some reluctance, Declan Sr agreed, and so, Joanna was brought up as their daughter.

After finishing High School, Joanna moved to New York where she attended College, majoring in Psychology. At the news of her sister-in-law’s death however, Joanna returned to Los Angeles to help Declan with the children. Joanna lives in the back guest house on the Litrell estate and has taken up a position as a board member on Nova FM. She disapproves of her brothers new wife Morgan, but will not make waves. Instead she is focusing on taking care of Hunter, the youngest of Declan’s children. Between looking after Hunter, the house, and being a board member on Nova, Joanna has had little time for dating.

There was one man, back in College, but that was 10 years ago now. He had no knowledge of the wealth that Joanna had been accustomed to, and it would very easily be said that the two were meant to be together. When she left New York to come to her brothers aid, she did not have the opportunity to say goodbye, and as time went on, it became more and more difficult for her to make contact again. She doesn’t expect to ever marry and have children, which is a shame, because she is a good woman with a heart of gold that would make an excellent mother.
