Fianna
Every
human problem can be solved with good company, ale, song and merry making. So
why re-invent the wheel!
Fingal Flashing Claws; Rank 5; Caern of the Red Rock; Ahroun; Australia; Fingal visits rarely to these waters, he has a respectable Caern to run in the Outback, but may have made his last visit. He is an aging old man, and is becoming less effective. His hatred of the Silver Fangs is legendary as is his guilt over the destruction of the Bunyip. He is plagued by recurring nightmares were he claims the souls of Bunyip come to him, ready to drag him away in chains. Although he is remembered as one of the key people who prevented industrial development by the Red Rock.
Cuin the Wanderer; Rank 5; Not Affiliated but visits the Caern of the Ever-flowing Cup; Thurge; Ireland; Cuin was never found, he merely walked into the Caern and asked for a Rite of Passage, likened to a Silent Strider when not around, and treated as an Elder when he is, his Coal Black coat, has dredged up many stories, including that he has gazed into the very eyes of the Wyld and it has affected his mind, also, that he visits the Arcadia Gateway as a Fae in disguise, and has a ring that can take him at any time to the Homeland of the Fianna, and that some say he is Fae wearing the coat of a Wolf. He remains enigmatic, cryptic, ageless, and abstract in all he does. If he has reason in his actions, then it is for Star Gazers to discover.
David Spendlove; Rank 5; Caern of the Giant's Chair; Ahroun; Probably the Fianna's tribal Elder of Britain, yet not by popularity. He is highly creative yet sporting the arrogance that Silver Fangs display. True though that he can not be ignored, or underestimated. He runs a Secluded Sept, which is hidden by the Rite of the Hidden Glade and he is most selective when recruiting members, and all moots are very private affairs. This does not help with his reputation though, he has even developed a Rite of Forgetfulness which removes the memory of any visits to his Caern, used on any visitors who happen on the location of the Caern. Unwittingly many Glass Walkers have had their memories wiped on more than one occasion.
Patricia Mckinnon; Rank 5; Not Affiliated but seen in regions of Northern Ireland; Philodox; Ireland; Rumoured to be the most beautiful woman in Ireland, she protects the innocent, whether Catholic or Protestant, and has many a terrorist cell or Street Gang has fell upon her claws. She also has slain many Terrorist Garou in what she claims as her protectorate. There have been assassination attempts by Sabbat, Brotherhood of Herne, Grandchildren of Fionn, Pentex and a Hunter organization known as Zero G. They have all failed and in some cases lost many of their number in the attempt. Although a legendary type figure, she does exist, her contacts and allies with testify to that!
Matt Rushton; Rank 4; Caern of the Castle; Ahroun; The leader of the Fianna faction at Colchester, a round faced long ginger haired, steaming cauldron of a man. He has a short fuse which he lets loose when he does not get the respect he deserves. However he lacks the real killing power and temper control to make him a major player in Garou politics, so he spends much of his time, maintaining his present position. Like all Fianna he loves his ale, but this only makes him more violent. He has problems with kinfolk, who consider him 'unstable'.
Riodan Cliffgrazer; Rank 4; The Sept of the White Water; Galliard; America; An enormous chieftain of the Fianna with a appetite to match. A gifted musician, but also a violent combatant who will turn on anyone who disobeys him. He has a hard line with the local Uktena Lupus when they try to take more power at his Caern, but then changes it to a forgiven and forget policy which has actual helped to maintain the dual-clan unity. Although menacing most of the time, he has a soft spot for children.
Emira Ruith-an-Eas; Rank 4; Not Affiliated; Galliard; Ireland; A stunningly beautiful red haired, green eyed resembling Liv Tyler facially, she may be beautiful but she lives the life of a terrorist, and ostrasicsed by all but her own tribe. She hates the British for the accidental murder of her true love, he was gunned down by soldiers in Northern Ireland. Her home Caern now destroyed by Formori, and her old pack broken, slain or lost, she now travels as a mercenary, working for anyone who foots the bill, with the exception of the Wyrm or the British.
'Spurned'; Rank 4; Caern of the Giant's Chair; Ahroun; Metis; A Garou who was named by his father's reaction to him, a constant reminder of a indiscretion. His Garou father still thinks he should be eliminated, despite his usefulness, however the beast has grown huge and almost unstoppable. He is scaled, with little fur, with webbed feet, with prominent gills and can breath underwater or on land for a period of time. He wears no clothes and spends most time defending the Caern in the physical. Caern residents often see the beast on the rocks eating fish. Having almost bestial like intelligence, he is kept alive as a powerful Caern defender...it is not as if he could complain about his role.
Darren Richards; Rank 3; Sept of Sherwood; Ragabash; often resembling a down and out Bone Gnawer, Darren is a heavy alcoholic, and has only just recently combated his drug problems. He would still be useless without his Resist Toxin gift, but is still not liked, and considered a parasite of the Caern. If it was not for the Mild Glass walker Philodox as a leader who would have been exiled or killed. However he knows if he crosses James Purcell, nothing would save him, so he tries to go about his duties, often being late, or unwell on duty. He is suspected of being visited by 'tempters', Black Spiral agents, so he is under close supervision.
Joe; Rank 3; Caern of the Giant's Chair; Ahroun ; Joe, one part of a pair of Garou identical twins, who are incredibly alike in many things, although they have an intense hatred for each other, and cause no end of trouble at the Caern, often attempting to kill each other, with many near attempts. David Spendlove has to keep them clearly apart, which in itself causes problems with the Caern running. Making matters worse they are also in love with the same Kinfolk lady.
Nick; Rank 3; Caern of the Giant's Chair; Ahroun ; Nick, the other identical twin, who is slightly more athletic than his slightly older brother, however he lacks the social skills and patience of Joe. Many Garou secretly hope that if it does have to come to final blows that it will be Nick who returns to Gaia.
James McDonald; Rank 3; Caern of the Giant's Chair; Ragabash; The ginger haired lady killer, he is a real ladies man. He is also the Active Pack leader and The Caller of the Wyld for the Caern. He can become easily provoked once drunk, but it is a mild mannered Garou while sober, and also not a traditional Ragabash, avoiding practical jokes, he prefers sharp wit and intelligent humour to gain a smile. He can also proudly say he has littered a good selection of cubs, both human, lupus and even a couple of Garou. The latter he only brags about when he is suitably drunk!
Thom Mind of Mirage; Rank 3; Sept of the Last Stone; Egypt; Philodox, Just recently obtained the next rank, but tends to be a bit spacey when he attends British Moots. He can become hostile if this is mentioned. He often talks about his rough upbringing from his kinfolk parents, and the trouble he had in England. This often falls on dead ears though, and no one understands why he has decided to enter the war zone of Egypt. He returns to England about three times a Year.
Rob Gunning; Rank 3; Caern of the Camper's Tent; Galliard; Rob is a much loved Galliard, an a talented musician, he has his own band, but remains shy to all but his local audiences in the kinfolk pub. He is a lovely Garou and many struggle to say a bad thing about him, as he always has time for people. He could well have been a Philodox or a Children of Gaia. It is apparent though he is losing his faith with his Caern, since the change of leadership, and there are some rumours he may abandon the Caern. If true he may have a pick of several as he is a prized Galliard. Extremely popular at Moots and is a late night entertainer.
Nikki Davies; Rank 2; Caern of the Sea Bird; Philodox, A middle aged woman, who is much despised by the 'Kendrick line' of the Shadow Lords. She is rarely seen outside of her Caern due to recruitment problems, and when seen keeps mainly to herself. She has a rather unique perspective on Garou life and politics and has become rather disheartened with the whole affair. She is often described as bitter but she has worked hard to maintain her Caern.
Jenny Price; Rank 2; Caern of the Camper's Tent; Galliard, A Irish girl with a strong accent, despite being Garou she maintains strong Catholic links with the Church and her beliefs. Very much a traditional Fianna, and has more than her fair share of camp side stories, and when tanked up, quite likely to go hunting for kinfolk. She has just given birth to a beautiful Metis, with yet no signs of a deformity. Her shame though, has actually put Campers Tent on the map of Garou politics, if this turns out to be the 'True Metis'. Jenny is nervous though for her own safety and for that of her new child.
Lee Holden; Rank 1; Caern of the Lost Pups; Ragabash; Nearly ready for his next rank, Lee is the dirty 'colourful' character of the Lost Pups Caern, he has many friends, who are not always ready to admit to being his friends, but he loves his life, and his role as the Caern's Keeper of the Land. He is a some what non-combative Garou though focusing his talents in other directions. Although this is slowly changing, as trouble at the Caern increases. He remains Jonathon Brimble's best friend and true pack mate, both originating from Colchester.
Mark Thompson; Rank 1; Sept of Sherwood; Ahroun; A moody and often depressed but capable warrior with a temper to match that of a Fenris. Although firmly in the Fianna camp, his original origins are unsure, and no-one knows what tribe's blood flows through his veins. Originally assigned to Darren Richards, to help Darren sober up, he has now befriended the mighty Richard Newman and abandoned his old 'mentor'. Mark maintains a day job, unusual with Garou, and provides some funding for the Caern. He is a combat specialist.
Jenny O'Hara; Rank 1; Caern of the Giant's Chair; Ahroun; A lanky Irish girl who has a steady relationship with a long term kinfolk boyfriend. She is addicted to cigarettes and booze, but has just managed to learn Resist Toxin which is making her more useful to the Caern. Despite being a Ranked Garou there is still much to learn and she is still in the training phase, but is proving to be a useful and loyal addition to the Caern.
Kelly O'Brien; Pup; No Affiliation Yet (but it looks likely to be the Caern of the Ever-Flowing Cup); Ireland; A brown haired loose cannon, and also affiliated with the Republican Army, although disarmed he still has a personal war going on with the protestants, and is not against the whole sale slaughter of children and women. He was a dangerous and wanted young man before, it seems Gaia as been unwise making him into Garou. Elders can see trouble brewing as this young maniac will quickly gain power.
Kara; Pup; No Affiliation; Metis; A wild Metis that has been left to grow up in the wild, her Garou speak is limited, and she knows no other Language, preferring to communicate as a wolf. She has a very simple philosophy of life, being raised as a 'Moor's Monster', concerning herself with needs. She deals best with Lupus. She has a mandible jaw which unfolds into a flower shaped row of fangs.
