>Chapter Two<

Carpise and Corvalia, two split-states of a once unified Commonwealth of Terra, have been at war for over a decade in an attempt to gain control over the continent. The nobles leading each split-state are of vastly different opinions, and their well wishes to unify the land as they see best fit has left it war-torn and battered with a generation of people suffering from the threat of death.

Mar Carpise, head noble of the western half of Terra, is a man who works solely for the benefit of the ecomony and of capitalism. He seeks to earn riches for himself and his people by any means necessary, by any number of fallen workers required to make ends meet. Cecelia Corvalia, Duchess of the Corvalia split-state, works day and night to ensure the protection and equality of her citizens. Though she knows little of politics, economics, or war, she knows that so long as her people are equal in wealth and happiness that her desires are being met.

On the side of the Corvalian knights, a new graduating class of knights has been sent to the front lines to bolster their weakening defenses against the Carpise forces and their hired mercenary compatriots. Among these new fighters is a young noblewoman gifted with a rare ability doctors have called a 'sixth sense'. With this sense, she is acutely aware of her surroundings and of her relation to them, making her a deadly and unmatched warrior against any man who has faced her. As she struggles to achieve victory for her people and the Duchess, the war soon spirals down to her obsession with a Carpise elite knight. The war that has split a continent and people apart will become nothing more than the bitter rivalries between the greatest warriors of both sides.

"Nothing risked, nothing gained. How can a man appreciate his life unless he risks it over and over?"
