Through her beauty and kindness, Aeris holds a mystery that is both sacred and powerful. Strong, fierce, and coated with fire-red fur, Red XIII is one large and powerful beast. However, his mind and soul are a different story. With amazing intelligence and a warm heart, Red XIII joins with Cloud after being rescued from a horrible Shinra experiment. Although Red XIII becomes a loyal and promising ally, much of his life remains a mystery.
Tifa is gentle and kind at heart, but once provoked, she becomes a lethal weapon. Once a childhood friend of Cloud, Tifa is a proud member of AVALANCHE and bar hostess at 7th Heaven in Sector 7. Even after five years of being apart, Tifa still can't hide her strong feelings for Cloud
Vincent, once having a secret past with Shinra, joins Cloud in an effort to resolve the torture in his soul and the horror Shinra inflicted upon him. Although he is quiet and frail, a dark and frightening power hides within. Although it seems Vincent was merely a subject for experimentation, his existance his an even deeper secret.
Yuffie is the direct decendant of a tradition-bound ninja clan - but she could care less about "tradition." She forcefully joins AVALANCHE, hoping to use them to obtain as much materia as possible. She is sly and completely self-centered, and her young age leads to brash decision-making and tumultuous relationships.
