In the world of Dragonball, the universe is separated into 4 parts or quadrants. North, South, East, and West. Each quadrant is controlled by a Kai or Godlike being. In the north is King Kai or the North Kai, in the South is South Kai and the same applies for East and West. Each Kai has his/her own planet in Other World (Heaven). King Kai's is located at the end of Snake Way. But there is still a higher more powerful Kaio, the Grand Kaio. From what you see of the 4 lower Kaio's, Grand Kaio is not what you would expect. He is more relaxed and has the persona of an 80's rock star. But there is still one more level of Kaio. The Supreme Kai, these highly powerful and mystical beings are the supreme rulers of the universe. Not much is known about them except that most of them were wiped out in a battle with Majin Buu. Just like the other Kaio's they have their own planet. On this planet lies the mystical Z Sword. This sword is extremely heavy and requires a pure being to be able to use it. The Elder Kaio-shin is imprisoned in the sword and it is also the sword that Gohan was supposed to use to fight Buu until him and Goku broke it.
Kami - The Guardian of earth and protector of its well being Kami is the first Godly entity we meet in the dragonball series. Creator of the dragonballs he watches over the world high above his lookout making sure no evil or negative force puts the world in danger.
Lord Enma - The Judge, Jury, and Executioner of your soul Lord Enma resides in his castle which links Hell, Heaven and Snake Way. His Job is to direct you to Hell or Heaven depending on the path you chose in life (evil or good). Lord Enma is the second Godly entity introduced to the db/z/gt series. He is Also the first person to cross Snake Way and recieve King Kaio's training.
King Kaio (North Kai) - The Watcher over the North Quadrant of the East Galaxy King Kaio is the loveable yet corny jokester who taught goku the kaio ken technique and the spirit bomb. Before King Kaio trainied Goku he had to pass 2 steps make Him Laugh and Catch Both of King Kaios pets Gregory and Bubbles. King Kaio is highly respected yet taken for granted alot by Goku and the others.
South Kaio - The watcher of the South Quadrant of the East Galaxy. He is the tallest of the four Kaio's and the most Cockiest. He Believes that the fighters of his Quadrant are the strongest by far but as we all see they dont stand a chance against Goku or Pikuhan.
East Kaio - The watcher of the East Quadrant of the East Galaxy. She is the only female Kaio. She loves to have a reason to race with her motor scouter no matter what. The Fighters of her Quadrant arent the best infact they are terrible in my opinion......lol.
West Kaio - Watcher of the West Quadrant of the East Galaxy. He is probably the most obnoxious yet most accomplished of the 4 kaios. His fighters are very strong and dominated the Heavens Tournament intill the Final Round. His greatest Pupil is Pikuhan.
Dai Kaio (Grand Kaio) - The Ruler of all Four Kaios and the Strongest (or as they say). Dai Kaio is the craziest with his denim jacket and old ass boom box..lol. His power out ways all four kaios and Lord Enma. He overseas everything that goes on in Hell, Heaven, and all 4 Quadrants of the East Galaxy.
East Kaioshin (Supreme Kai) - The Ruler of the East Galaxy and the Last Kaioshin making him the ruler of all Galaxy's The supreme Kai is one of the most important characters of the dbz series. With his Guidence The z-team was informed of Majin Buu and became prepared for the greates battle of their lives. He is accompanied by his assistant and bodyguard Kibito, who he later fuses with.
West Kaioshin - Ruler of the West Galaxy and one of the 4 kaios killed by Majin Buu. Not alot is said about West Kaioshin except that he was no challenge for Majin Buu.
South Kaioshin - Ruler of the South Galaxy. Another Kaioshin killed by Buu and barley mentioned in dragonball z. This Kaioshin was the only female.
North Kaioshin - Ruler of the North Galaxy. Again another Kaioshin killed by Buu.....this kaioshin was the strongest of the 4 giving Buu a challenge but in the end it doesnt even matter.
Dai Kaioshin - The Ruler of all Galaxies, Kaios, and Kaioshins. Dai Kaioshin was the main man he didnt do much and he was pretty fat and jolly but damn with all that power there isnt really alot to do lol. Anyways he was absorbed by Buu and thus Majin Buu became Fat Buu. Again like the last 3 Kaioshin he wasnt mentioned much.
Rou Kaioshin (Reverend Kaioshin) - The Oldest living kaioshin of them all. He was trapped in the mystic z sword by an evil sorcere and released by Gohan when he trained with the Z sword. Rou Kaioshin is fused with and old witch after she took on of his portara earring and put it on. He is very perverted like master roshi and can easily be persuaded to do something with the right tools (hentai mangas). He helped gohan reach his mystic form and also gave his life to goku to fight against majin buu. He was a major help to the z warriors during their battles against buu.
