And daughter of Aoife MacMurchada, Princess of a territory in Ireland. When John Lackland gained the throne, he proclaimed Richard a traitor and stole all of his belongings from under him. And upon Richard's death, Aoife the elder was sent to a convent to live out the rest of her days as Aoife the younger was to live at the palace as a "Beloved Ward of the Crown".
